1st Iron Bridge 25/1 - 50 2nd Beauport 16/1 - 45 3rd Anglers Crag 9/1 - 40   Its a very tight contest here as expect but Iron Bridge did stand out with his stats a bit so i would hope for a big run. His recent form has a few question marks but i think you can look through that a bit. He has clocked a 2nd in the Welsh National so we know that Marathon distances are fine for him. His last run he pulled up but that was very testing ground and over 4m 2f, and the other PU was over 2m 4f which is unsuitable for this out and out stayer. The soft ground is more suitbale than very heavy testing ground. His stats on soft are 1, 1, 1, 2, 2. Including the Welsh National, Interestingly his form on a flat track is 1, 1, 1, 1, 3. He could run a big race here. A lot in his favour Beauport won the Midlands National that Iron Bridge pulled up, so that ticks a lot of boxes, he stays all day and if it rains he will not mind. My only concern is that the more of a test it is the better and he ha...

1st Threeunderthrufive 20/1 - 50 2nd Kittys Light 9/2 - 45 2nd Dusart 14/1 - 45 3rd Monbeg Genius 4/1 - 40 3rd Mighty Thunder 20/1 - 40 Unlike the National last weekend, this race is a lot closer, and not much seperates them.  Threeunderthrufive was a surprise. The positives are that the drier it gets the happy he will be, although unbeaten right handed, he still goes very well left. He will love the flat nature of the track as well. He is a twice Grade 2 winner over fences and thats why he has a hefty 11st 7lb to carry. There is no trend to suggest it cant be done, unlike the Grand National where is nearly impossible to carry over 11st 9lb and win. The only question mark is, will he stay? Paul Nicholls has won this a few times, most recently with Vincente who on his 2nd time won with 11st 10lb,  Threeunderthrufive has a very similar profile, including coming via Cheltenham. If he stays he has a big claim.  Kittys Light defintely stays after winning the Eider last ...

1st Cool Mix 10/1 - 55 2nd Win My Wings 15/2 - 50 3rd Fantastikas 16/1 - 35 3rd The Ferry Master 10/1 - 35 As you can see we have 2 clear here, we did have another who scored 40 but Streets Of Doyen is now a non runner. Cool Mix was 5th in this last year and only beaten 8L. He is 6lb lower in the handicap this year, but because of the opposition handicap ratings and jockey claims heonly carries 5lb less, but still thats 5lb less than last year over this marathon distance and he also wears a tongue tie for the first time, which over this trip you would hope makes a difference. He comes via Musselburgh which he did last year too, so same kind of prep here. He will like the ground, and he is a winner at Ayr over hurdles but not won here over fences yet. He could go well off a small weight.  Win My Wings actually stood out and i thought would come top here. She won the Eider last time out and is up a big 8lb for that. They are making use of the 7lb jockey claim here though, whic...
