Straight From The Trainers Mouth Roger Varian 2:40 Shubaat I don't think Shubaat has stayed in his last two races so I am looking forward to running him back at 1m6f. He seems in good order and is getting weight from a number of the other runners. 3:15 Nahrain 7/2 She was a bit rusty at Ascot but seems to have come on a lot for the run. She has really come to herself and looks in great condition. Her work has been very good and we are hoping for a good run from her. Nahrain Brian Meehan CATFISH (Goodwood 2.05 p.m.) Speedy filly was hampered at the start and did not get going until too late at Ascot (5f) last week. She did well to be beaten only three lengths and as a winner at the fixture last year, will have her chance if avoiding trouble. SECULAR SOCIETY (Doncaster 2.15 p.m.) Royal Applause gelding has been working nicely, but is expected to be better for the experience. MISSISSIPPI (Newmarket 2.20 p.m.) Looked a smart performer on his Kempton reappearance

New Tipsters

As i announced last night, i have 2 new tipsters joining me, and trying to give you the best possible tips we can.   Straight From The Trainers Mouth Brian Meehan SHEARIAN (Thirsk 2.20 p.m.) Three disappointing runs were the prelude to a gelding operation. First-time blinkers are tried to bring improvement, which is needed even at this lowly level. ARCHBISHOP (Goodwood 2.35 p.m.) Arch colt, unlucky at Newmarket, then ran easily his best race last time when runner-up in a Chantilly Group 3. This is a stronger race in the same category, but Archbishop has pleased us with his progress since and is a real contender. ELUSIVITY (Goodwood 3.45 p.m.) Progressive sprinter gained an overdue and well-deserved success when winning readily at Newmarket. He loves to have a pace to run at and will be cutting down the speedsters late on. Great chance. FREEPORT (Goodwood 4.20 p.m.) Steady progress has marked his three runs, and he was very strong late on at Salisbury. He starts handicapping on a fair mark and will be a serious contender in a tough nursery. JUNIOR DIARY (Bath 6.00 p.m.) Her

Straight From The Trainers Mouth Brian Meehan SECRET SIGN (Goodwood 2.45 p.m.) Sakhee’s Secret gelding made a big jump from his debut to win nicely at Windsor. Excellent work since  shows he deserves his shot at Group 2 level. AAIM TO PROSPER (Goodwood 3.15 p.m.) Stable favourite has made consistent progress in each of his runs since his return, the last of them warranting a 4lb official ratings rise. Always in with a chance in these Cup races and has each-way claims. SUPERNOVA HEIGHTS (Goodwood 4.20 p.m.) Oasis Dream filly made a highly-promising debut when fourth in a traditionally-hot maiden at the Newmarket July meeting. Primed to gain a first victory in this company. DIAMONDHEAD ( Goodwood 4.55 p.m.) Needed his delayed return over an inadequate six furlongs last month at Newmarket. Better suited by this extra furlong and should get much closer to the action this time. IGHRAA (Ffos Las 5.40 p.m.) Sharp filly seemed to find the last stage of her first try at

Straight From The Trainers Mouth Richard Fahey 2:00 Mica Mika   On to Wednesday and we're having a punt with Mica Mika by running him over this trip of two miles and five furlongs in the Goodwood Handicap .He's a very relaxed horse, I just thought the handicapper was very tough on him for winning a bad race at Chester this year. He's run all right a couple of times and if a horse is going to stay it'll be him as he does relax, but not many flat horses get this trip and it's a watching brief. If he does get home, he's got a small each-way chance. 3:10 Gabriel 50/1 There's not a lot we can say about the Qipco Sussex Stakes as I'd be a lunatic to say I was going to go and beat Frankel with Gabrial . There's plenty of prize money on offer and it'd be nice to finish second, although he does have to improve to do that. It's fantastic to have a runner in a race like this but there's not a horse in the world who looks like he ca
