For that reason alone I don’t think it’s going to be straightforward finding a winner but it’s hopefully business as usual on Sunday at Goodwood where I’ve got some tidy rides for Clarehaven. As for Newmarket, I think my best chance of getting a result is NEZAR (4.55) in the Autumn Stakes over a mile. But 2 weeks ago, this filly lost out by a head to Miss France in the Group 3 Oh So Sharp Stakes. The winner impressed me so much, i backed her for the 1000gns. I picked this horse for my daily tips, without looking at who the trainer was at first, UTS's ran very well last time out when winning by 18L on soft ground. Although Swaldale Lad looks fit and primed, UTS can run well fresh. He must have some of the best form on offer with a gallant 5l behind Puffin Billy in a Grade 2 at Ascot over Hurdles. So on his Chase debut, you got to have high hopes. Firstly, her stables are in Worcester. She is running at Ayr, the reason is probably the going. Gracie's Games prefers soft. Stats on soft over 6f is 11**, 1, 1*, 4*, 1, 3, 2*, 5, 4. (each * a step up in class that today. Her last race on soft she was beaten 2 1/2L.
