  1st Dromore Lad 12/1 - 75 2nd Auvergnat 25/1 - 40 3rd Fitzhenry 14/1 - 35 Dromore Lad was head and shoulders above the others here. He loves soft and wont care if it rains even more. He has come 2nd over C&D in a Beginners Chase, where he actually beat Aforementioned who went on to win the Grade 1 Munster National. His last win came in the Cork National over 3m 4f on soft, he is 3lb higher today but he was 9L in front of the 2nd horse. The drop back in distance is fine in fact his stats over 2m 7f is 1, 2, 4. The 2 is over fences. the others were over hurdles. This track suits well as all his 5 wins have come on right handed courses, and he prefers these flatter tracks. He carries a good weight and he has only raced 7 times over fences but even at 9 he could show some improvement if conditions are right for him. He is certainly capable, i am worried about recent form but my system have picked him out so im happy to stick with him Auvergnant will also love the conditions here....

5:25 Ballinrobe Hello Sweetie 10/3 This horse caught my eye when looking at the going stats at Ballinrobe. The Favourite Stormey looks very vulnerable here. Career high mark, top weight on heavy ground, which is not ideal, and although a winner on soft, he hasn't won on heavy and his sire September Storm has only a 3% strike rate on a Heavy surface. Too many negatives for me and 11/8 is a silly price. Hello Sweetie has some good stats at Ballinrobe, 2, 4, 1, 1, 1. which is pretty impressive. Her sire suggests she should be ok on heavy with a 15% strike rate, and she has placed twice on heavy, but she would have to improve on those 2 placed efforts to figure. The claim of the jockey will be a massive help though. However the trainer is not in full flow but he has sent her a long way for this race, and i think she should be favourite here, and looks the one to beat. California Soul could surprise a few here though, out of Yeats who has a 15% strike rate on heavy. Well beat...

8:30 Ballinrobe - Full Court Press 7/2 - NAP Full Court Press's connections are in good form lately which is always a bonus, and so has Full Court Press. FCP is up 2lb for his 2nd at Navan in May, his jockey Caroline Murtagh deals with that by taking off 7lbs. The step up in distance should suit well, his dam has produced a winner at 2 miles, and he wont mind the ease in the ground. He has been given a short break to freshen him up and i think comes here with a very strong hand. His Navan race was very revealing as he was beaten by another horse who has been in cracking form,  Ceol Na Nog. The winner won well that day and then went on to win his next 2 races with ease as well. The horse who came behind FCP  in 3rd has also gone onto win and place since, 5th and 8th have also gone on to win since and Palmones who came 14th that day has gone onto win 2/2.
