1st Elegant Statesman 11/1 - 80 2nd Dare To Endeavour 12/1 - 65 3rd Clarcam 33/1 - 60 A nice competitive race here, where Elegant Statsman stood out, in fact i will be surprised if he isnt in the top 3. Ground is fine, although would prefer it to not rain anymore. Distance is ok, i am not worried he has not run at 3 miles yet. Gets on great with his jockey. All his wins have come right haned, and a small stat but interesting is he is 3 wins from 4 in October. Is a winner at Limerick. 11/1 looks generous. Dare to Endeavour will want the rain, the distance is fine though. If there is rain which is forecast, his price could drop. Clarcam has a lot of things going for him, except he is top weight, an although his jockey is claiming 7lb, he still has a big ask. 1st Starchitect 8/1 - 65 2nd St Michel 6/1 - 60 3rd Grumeti 28/1 - 55 I've always thought of this race as a race that the National Hunt lads like to win, like Grumeti last year winning at a massive 50/1. Well he is back to defend his title and he could go well. So many stats to go through so i wont write a big thing here. It's a close race. Starchitect is a horse i follow, he has a big future, especially at Cheltenham and he can certainly win a race like this so i am more than happy to stick with him. Grumeti is only 1lb higher than last year. Its a tough race, with 33 runners so there is a lot of luck in running but i do notice apart from Scatter Dice, most winners are up there with the leaders or lead in this race. Starchitect is a front runner and Grumeti runs with the leaders. St Michel is a hold up horse, and for me thats a worry, if he is up with the pace then i would be interested.
