1st Cliffs Of Dover 3/1 - 95 2nd Irish Roe 7/2 - 70 3rd Solomon Grey 9/2 - 50 3rd Cubswin 20/1 - 50 Cliffs Of Dover won the Summit Hurdle over C&D which is a Grade 2 race. He has since run a lot on the flat and back over hurdles last time out, didn't really cover himself in glory. However, it may have been a little too far. He has never run well when running above todays distance and is 3/3 over todays distance. The going is perfect in fact he is 5 wins from 9 runs on good. 5 wins from 7 when Harry cobden rides. Irish Roe took a tumble last time out so who knows how she would have done, but she was out the back in a big field. She does go well here though with stats of 1, 1, 2. She drops back into handicaps after trying Graded races but is 10lb higher than her last win, only 4lb higher than when 2nd here. She has lots in her favour today and shouldnt be far away. A lot of things in his favour, going, distance, has a great strike rate with Richard Johnson as well 1, 1, 1, 2, 1, PU, 4, 11, 5, 1, 3, 1, 1, 3, 2. He ran a super race in the Haldon Gold Cup when 2nd to Gods Own, who has since come 2nd in the Perterborough Chase. OTO has big claims although is burdoned with top weight. Bun Doran won at Cheltenham last time out after a break, and he normally runs well fresh.Course, going, distance, all fine, gets on well with Paddy Brennan. I think this race is between the top 2 here, but obviously Ozzie The Oscar really ticks a lot of the boxes so i am sticking with him My Selection: Ozzie The Oscar 7/2
