15/04/23 5:15 Aintree - The Grand National System

1st Corach Rambler 7/1 - 70 2nd Noble Yeats 15/2 - 50 3rd Gaillard Du Mesnil 12/1 - 45 3rd Delta Work 8/1 - 45 3rd Sam Brown 80/1 - 45 I would like to add i completely believe in my system and i havent seen a horse clear in it since Tiger Rolls 2nd attempt.  I just have not considered Corach Rambler and he is favourite. Probably because he is favourite, i want value because its such a lottery and all this bar one is disappointly short. Here is why Corach Rambler came top. Firstly racing weight, and i will repeat myself several times here. No horse in the last 25 years has won carrying more that 11st 9lb, and this horse carries 10st 5lb. He stays well, he seems to love Cheltenham but has won at Aintree over 3m 1f, but has not faced the Aintree fences yet. This is no included in the stats but he i beleive is suppoed to go up 10lb in the handicap, so essentially he comes here 10lb well in, Noble Yeats was 11lb well in last year. His stats going left handed are 1, 1, 1, 4, 1, 4,...

05/04/19 The Grand National 5:15 Aintree - System

1st Tiger Roll 7/2 - 100 2nd Don Poli 125/1 - 70 3rd Go Conquer 50/1 - 60 3rd One For Arthur 28/1 - 60 4th Magic Of Light 125/1 - 55 4th Vieux Lion Rouge 50/1 - 55 4th Walk In The Mill 14/1 - 55 5th Step Back 25/1 - 50 Obviously i hope the winner is amongst these. I am on 2 myself. I have Tiger Roll at 20/1 and Step Back. Tiger Roll is going to try and win the National again. In 1997 i fancied a horse called Lord Gyllene to win, he jumped like a stag and he jumped for fun. When he did win, i said he would win another, sadly the 'curse' of the National hit and he just was not right afterwards, and ended his career not long after because of injury. In fact this is a familiar story, winners of the race just never seem to be the same. Only a handful win again after the National, let alone run well in another National. Many Clouds looked like a horse on the up again but he passed away. Tiger Roll is the first horse since 1997 that i have thought - Maybe!. His last 2 ...

14/04/18 The Grand National 2018 - System

Image
1st The Last Samurai 22/1 - 65 2nd Houblon Des Obeaux 40/1 - 55 3rd I Just Know 22/1 - 50 4th Blaklion 14/1 - 45 5th Virgilio 80/1 - 40 6th Seeyouatmidnight 14/1 - 35 7th Total Recall 14/1 - 30 Firstly no matter the stats, the Grand National is a lottery. The system is just a guide to what should go well, but anything can happen. The Last Samurai was 2nd the Blaklion in the Bechers in December whilst carrying 6lb more, they meet again and Blaklion has 8lb more to carry so he now carries 2lb more than TLS, which could help TLS gain the upperhand. However this distance in soft ground is tough and they both have big weights, and you could certainly have to prefer TLS to Blaklion, that 2lb could make a big difference. TLS loves it at Aintree though with 2, 3, 16, 2. over the fences, he was carrying 2lb more last year than this year and came 16th. He will get round and give you a good run for your money. Talking of weight earlier though, there has only every been 1 winner wh...

The Novice Tipster - Grand National Preview 2013

The Grand National Preview. 1.   Imperial Commander – Top weight and former Gold Cup winner, had been off the track for 2 years because of injury, but came back in impressive style when a gallant 2 nd to Cape Tribulation in the Grade 2 Argento Chase, he was favourite for the Gold Cup when a bug hit the yard and he got a lung infection. So he has come here without another run, but this horse has a lot of class and cannot be dismissed. Sam Twiston- Davies takes the ride for the first time, and he wouldn’t want the ground too soft. The odds look a little stacked against him, but his class alone could get him round, and he could be the first horse to do win the Gold Cup and the National since L’Escargot in the 70’s. **** 2. What A Friend – I have to admit to not fancying his chances. He has been over the fences 3 times now. He won The Silver Bowl 3 years ago and the fell at the 2 nd in 2011, he then came back to the Silver Bowl and came 7 th . It’s not the stable...

Grand National Field Remains The Same

Image
As a racing enthusiast I welcome the new changes made in the review. The levelling on the landing side of several of the fences is very positive.   Bechers "undergo further levelling of the wider landing zone, correcting the settlement which occurred following work carried out in 2011". In my view, any changes to Bechers Brook is a good thing seeing as out of all the deaths in the National from horses falling at fences, out of 46 fatalities since the race started in 1839, 14 of those have been at Bechers, compared to the next highest of 6 at fence 4 (or 20 on 2 nd time round). These changes to the fences come, even though this year’s National, none of the fences were directly to blame for the 2 fatalities of Synchronized and According To Pete. They had been looked at and changed the previous year after Ornais and Dooney’s Gate were both fatally killed in falls, directly attributed to the fences. Those changes have so far have been proven to be effective. ...
