1st Silver Knott 10/1 - 85 2nd Auguste Rodin 13/8 - 70 2nd Chaldean 8/1 - 70 3rd Indestructable 25/1 - 65 Well i can certainly say, despite being profitable following Silver Knott last year, i did not consider him here. Possibly a big oversight. Firstly, he follows the exact same route as Coroebus who won the Autumn Stakes then the 2000gns, the year before One Ruler tried but only managed 6th in the Guineas. Ghaiyyath won that race but went to the Derby and won that instead. So it shows the caliber of horse Charlie Appleby has here. His dam was a winner over 1m4f and 1m6f, this horse has the potential to win The Derby and St Leger! in fact i would be interested for both. Could he be a triple crown horse? So first i didnt even consider him a Guineas horse but now he has topped my system im looking at him to be a triple crown potential, i could definitely see them try. Ground is fine, the track is fine. The only concern i would have, is if he needs further, but at 10/1 it seems a g...

1st Master Of The Seas 11/1 - 100 2nd One Ruler 10/1 - 75 3rd Chindit 16/1 - 55 3rd Lucky Vega 16/1 - 55 I would like to think this has it correct as Masters Of The Seas came top by quite a bit. For me although trends say its not essential because 9 of the last 23 winners have run at Newmarket and of those 9, 5 have won here before they come to this race. I mention this because the dip at Newmarket can catch horses out, and Master Of The Seas has run twice at the track and won both, over 7f and 1m. He won the Craven Stakes last time out. He did have a run in Meydan in February where he was not beaten far by race fit Naval Crown. He was beaten by both Thunder Moon and Wembley in the National Stakes, but both of these have been beaten at Newmarket.  One Ruler is another winner at Newmarket. He won a Group 3 over C&D on soft ground and he will certainly appreciate this better ground. He ran a cracker last time out on heavy ground where just beaten in the Futurity Trophy. Th...

Straight From The Trainers Mouth - Guineas Special

Toronado goes head to head with Dawn Approach Straight From The Trainers Mouth 2000 Guineas Garswood - "It's fantastic for everybody and we're all excited. A few of the lads in the yard have backed him at 200-1. It's great for us to have a live outsider in a Classic. Ricahrd Fahey Cristoforo Colombo - "The fast ground will help him and I think he will improve for the step up in trip. He ran a massive race in Ascot last year when he was drawn on the wrong side of the track, I was on my own and the first two were on the stands side so I'm hoping for a good run. He has cheekpieces on as he can be a little bit lazy in his races and they will help him to travel a bit sweeter. He's never had his ground and I think everything is right for him. The nicest ground he had was at Ascot and he was only beaten a length by Dawn Approach. He is stepping up in trip and on better ground, I can see him hopefully make up a little bit of that” Joseph O’Br...
