Seems to be improving, a 2, 1, on good to firm, stepped back in distance last time out to just get up and win over C&D. Has a feather weight to carry, and the jockey claims 7lb. Does need to find more here though. Sharp Defence is 8lb lower than when 11th here last year, also says has a had a wind op since since his last run and sports a Tongue Tie, he is a winner over C&D but the worry is he hasn't run since march and has changed hands twice since then. He has run well before after 148 days off the track but its a strange one, its hard to weigh him up, but potentially he could run well. George Bowen ran a cracker of a race in the Wokingham at Ascot. and he comes here on the same mark, if he runs up to that form he will be there again today.
