Straight From The Trainers Mouth

Straight From The Trainers Mouth Michel Le Bon is Paul Nicholls hope for the Welsh National Victor Dartnall 3:20 Welsh National – Giles Cross 10/1 Giles Cross did a brilliant piece of work this morning and I’m hopeful he will run well in the Welsh National on Saturday. While it would have been ideal to get a run into Giles Cross beforehand, it wasn't possible, but he has done a lot of work and I'm pleased with him. He has won first time out in the past. He's a good horse and I don't know why he's 12-1 3:55 Chepstow   - Seebright SP I think Seebright could be the horse to change our fortunes in the bumper. Rebecca Curtis 3:20 Welsh National – Teaforthree 3/1 He should run really well. He loves it round there and loves the soft ground, he jumps brilliant. He's come out of the Hennessy really well. I don't think he got too hard a race. That is sometimes a worry in the Hennessy. He's bouncing at home and we're all

Tips for 4/1/13

Dorbeck should win well 2:00 Wolverhampton - Viola Da Gamba 11/2 2:30 Wolverhampton - Miss Bunter 2/1 - £30 2:40 Musselburgh - Vallani 9/1 e/w 3:10 Musselburgh - Stormin Exit 5/1 (nb) 5:00 Wolverhampton - Dorback 3/1 6:00 Wolverhampton - Solar Deity 11/8 £60 stake - £30 returns = -£30 loss Todays Nap 5:00 Wolverhampton - Dorback 3/1 New Years Day at this track over 5f came a very close 2nd to Woolfall Sovereign, they were clear of the rest of the field and the course record was broken. The step up to 6f will be no issue as he has won over course and distance. He is the horse to beat here. Todays NB 3:10 Musselburgh - Stormin Exit  5/1 Very well handicapped and could easily win this if back to best. And first run for in form trainer Donald McCain , which can normally bring a turn about of form

UPDATED WELSH NATIONAL PREVIEW 2013

This is all based on the basis that the going will be Heavy. 1.       Across The Bay 25/1 – New top weight, since the The Welsh National was moved to the 5th and Tidal Bay is now out. He has been in great form recently and deserves his place here. This is the furthest he has been but I think he will go well, and this horse, goes very well on the ground. The only negative is that he is top weight, apart from that, I couldn’t see why he wouldn’t be there at the end. 2.  Quartz De Thaix 14/1 – Ground should not be a worry, will be the furthest he has gone and on heavy is a big ask, but I cannot see any reason why he cannot be there at the end. Venetia Williams horses have been in great form recently too. 3.  Giles Cross 10/1 – I am not going to lie, this horse for me has a fantastic chance. And I have already backed him.   Was a leading contender for this years’ Grand National   until the ground dried out and he was never travelling and ended being pulled up. Ver
