1st King Turgeon 6/1 - 85 2nd Mahons Glory 20/1 - 70 3rd Vintage Fizz 16/1 - 50   2 of the top 3 came 1st and 2nd in this last year. King Turgeon won this last year and is now 10lb higher in the handicap, so this will not be as easy. He has a lot of positives here including the ground, the course, and although he has won over further, this race is a race that needs a horse who can stay well. Also, last year he did come in race fit with a previous run which he won by 10L, and after a wind op. He has had another wind op and does run well fresh. The weight he carries is a worry, he certainly has claims again Mahons Glory is a strange one. He was in a match race last time out and was well beaten, but he was eased down, he comes in race fit which he does seem to need a race or 2, to get into the swing again.   1st Nassalam 7/1 - 60 2nd Gesskille 3/1 - 45 2nd Yccs Portocervo 20/1 - 45 3rd Percussion 10/1 - 40 Nassalam scored very well here. this distance seems ideal for him, he came 3rd at Cheltenham over the same trip and is on the same mark as then. That was soft that day and lots of winners came from that race. He subsequently tried over 3m but it didnt work, not sure if he didnt stay that far. He loves the ground and the trip is ideal, he can go well fresh. He jumps well also so no issues there, and he goes well left handed. My only slight concern is that he ran at Aintree last time out and im hoping it was more the extra distance than the track and he carries a big weight, but his jockeys 5lb claim will help. So as long as he takes to the fences, he has big claims Gesskille came 2nd in the Sefton last year and the Bechers as well, but didnt do well in the Topham off 140, he is only 2lb lower, which is a concern but he does have blinkers on. Soft conditions should not worry him, and...
