1st The Caller 16/1 - 70 2nd Hard To Forget 4/1 - 65 3rd Weststreet 20/1 - 50 4th Christmas In April 4/1 - 45 Another very close race, but lots of stats, so hopefully we will get a good result. The Caller scored very well seeing as he is one of the outsiders. The reason he socred well is because to start with, he is the only runner in the race to win at this distance on soft ground. That win came in the Durham National in October. The average rated horse in that race was 130, today its 123. And The Caller is rated 122, 5lb up from his last win. He dropped a pound after being pulled up last time out. Sean Bowen said he was never travelling. If he runs to the form of the Durham National, then he has claims. its interesting to see Sean Bowen back on board, as he road him to that win at Sedgefield and it was the only time he has ridden him. He has only raced 4 times over fences though so hopefully there is some give in his handicap mark. I would also add that he beat Vinnie Lewis

1st Fiddlerontheroof 2/1 - 85 2nd Son Of Camas 11/4 - 65 3rd Logan Rocks 100/1 - 45 4th Hang In There 3/1 - 40 Not the kind of system i like as im not sure it gives a true reflection. There are not too many stats and i dont think it gives a great guide on the race, however i do believe the winner will be one of the first 2 here. And i wouldnt put you off a RFC or SFC. Fiddlerontheroof does set the standard, so rightly should be at the top, he is a C&D winner, so will score more as thats a big bonus. That was his last race where it was heavy. The horse he beat that day Arrivederci runs in the 3:50 at Wincanton the same day, so if this wins then maybe worth a little bet on him too. Anyway i digress, there have been 2 runners from that race sinceand both have ran very poorly again. His form from Chepstow though is very solid, as was 2nd to Thyme Hill who has since won a grade 1 himself. The going will be fine and although i think he may need stepping up in distance, he will

1st Mount Hanover 7/2 - 50 2nd Minella Till Dawn 4/1 - 45 3rd Sonny B 10/1 - 40 4th Debuchet 9/4 - 35 Surprising that a race of experienced horses has resulted in low scores. What strikes me straight away is how close it is, there is no stnadout here. Mount Hanover just scraped the lead. He came 2nd last time out in a very similar race, but that was on heavy ground. He probably wants the rain to come, but soft should be ok. The winner of his last race has since gone very close in another similare race since. Mount Hanover and the winner had drawn well clear of the 3rd in that race, and MH was put up 5lb for that 2nd place. The distance is perfect with stats of 1, 1, PU, 2. The PU was in a Grade 2 and the 2nd was last time out. Trainer and jockey are in good form and he should go well. He is still a maiden over fences (from 3 runs), but his last run suggest a win is not far off. Minella Till Dawn wears blinkers for the first time, the ground will be fine and has come a good
