8:30 Ballinrobe - Full Court Press 7/2 - NAP

Full Court Press's connections are in good form lately which is always a bonus, and so has Full Court Press.

FCP is up 2lb for his 2nd at Navan in May, his jockey Caroline Murtagh deals with that by taking off 7lbs. The step up in distance should suit well, his dam has produced a winner at 2 miles, and he wont mind the ease in the ground. He has been given a short break to freshen him up and i think comes here with a very strong hand.

His Navan race was very revealing as he was beaten by another horse who has been in cracking form,  Ceol Na Nog. The winner won well that day and then went on to win his next 2 races with ease as well. The horse who came behind FCP  in 3rd has also gone onto win and place since, 5th and 8th have also gone on to win since and Palmones who came 14th that day has gone onto win 2/2. Its certainly a hot race, i wouldn't be surprised to see some more winners come from that race.



 2:45 Cartmel - Burnt Sienna 9/2 - NB

Burnt Sienna dropped slightly in trip last time out to win at Uttoxeter, and today she drops another furlong. She was put up 9lb for that win, which in my opinion is very excessive, but she was racing a horse that was rated 13lb, even though the claim made it only 8lb. Her jockey today is claiming 7lb so that offsets some of the rise.

She beat Ereyna that day at Uttoxeter, who recovered from that defeat to win a better race next time out and is now rated even higher. And the 9th placed horse Tir Dubh has since gone on to win a higher class race as well. Also they have taken off headgear recently and just left the tongue tie on, bot her wins have come just wearing a TT and nothing else. The track should suit, as she has only ever won left handed, the going will suit as well. All in all i thnk she could follow up her win with another.

  1st Mr Vango 7/1 - 55 2nd O'Connell 7/1 - 45 2nd Nassalam 22/1 - 45   3 horses on 40 - Haiti Couleurs, Monbeg Genius and Collectors Item. Mr Vango came clear here the rest were all very close indeed.  Mr Vango is so consistent he will stay all day, he jumps well, the ground will be fine, although he would probably prefer some rain. He has never been to Chepstow, but his stats suggest the track will not be an issue. The only slight negative would be the quick turn around from his last race.  O'Connell  is very similar to Mr Vango in that he stays, the ground in his case is perfect, my only negative is in 7 attempts he has not won going left-handed and only placed once. He definitely prefers right-handed tracks. If that doesn't inconvenience him, he will have a chance. Nassalam has not been the same horse of late. Since winning this race in 2023 he has only completed a race once in 6 tries, with 5 P's next to his name. It does mean because of that he has slipped...
