06/04/26 4:25 Plumpton - Sussex National System
1st Tommie Beau 28/1 - 80
2nd Transmission 10/3 - 50
2nd Sea Invasion 5/1 - 50
As you can see the top 3 are close. Next at 40 were Invincible Nao and Unanswered Prayers.
Tommie Beaus stats at Plumpton over fences are 1, 3, 1, 2. and the 2nd was in this race in 2024. It was soft that day and he was 136, today he is off 125 and although copes well with soft, i would argue he is a better horse on good ground with 7 wins on it. We know the course suits, all his wins have come left handed to. Coming back to Plumpton to this race is interesting. Yes he is 11 now, but he carried 12st 1lb 2 years ago in this, today its 11st 2lb and cheekpieces are applied. Don't rule him out even being the oldest in the race.
Tranmission is 2/2 over hurdles at Plumpton, so the course will be fine, and we know he stays, and the ground is perfect. He went up 8lb for his great run in the Edinburgh National, and his jockey takes off 7 of that, which will help. He definitely has claims, you can see why he is one of the fancied runners.
Sea Invasions stats at Plumpton over fences are 2, 1. He actually ticks a lot of boxes here. The ground, the track, he looks good. He has a bit to find with Transmission but with his light weight you can't ignore him.
I will go with Tommie Beau, i know he is getting on now but i think he still has a big race in him and back at Plumpton on good ground we may see it. I do really like the other 2 and wouldn't put you off them either.
My Selection - Tommie Beau 28/1
