18/10/25 4:40 Ascot System

1st Greek Order 12/1 - 80

2nd Crown Of Oaks 11/2 - 70

2nd Fifth Column 7/1 - 70

3rd Great Acclaim 14/1 - 55

3rd Ebts Guard 18/1 - 55

3 horses clear here, Greek Order was 4th in the Royal Hunt Cup after 592 days off the track. Hasn't preformed as well the last 2 times and I'm not sure why, but the track suits, with the ground and distance. They reach for the cheekpieces for the first time, if that works he is more than capable of winning this, I would be slightly worried about the stall though.

Crown Of Oaks is interesting as he has only won at 1m 2f and is dropping back in distance here, where he was unable to win at 1/3 in a Maiden. He should like the ground, and as a winner at Ascot it's always a positive. He needs to improve again to win this but William Haggas is in great form. I am also not to much of a fan of his stall.

Fifth Column i thought would top this, unfortunately not though. His run in the Britannia looks actually really strong, the higher number stalls seemed to have an advantage and from Stall 9 he was the highest single figured stall number there. The Distance and going is good though and although he has never won at Ascot, Ascot is ok for him and as i say in the Britannia he actually ran really well. He would have a chance

Great Acclaim ran a nice race here in the Challenge Cup on soft ground over 7f at the beginning of the month, he is a winner at 1m. Ground is fine to Ascot should suit. He is such a consistent horse to, with not being beaten far in his last 7 races. I think his stall is ok, because the stalls will be positioned on the Stand Side instead of the centre. We shall soon know tomorrow.

Ebts Guard is a 2 times winner at Ascot and 2 places over C&D, the going he seems versatile to so shouldnt be an issue. Weirdly it looks like at a track like Ascot and Ascot itsself, he has actually got a 50% strike rate, so at his price an ew bet looks tempting

I will stick to my system as always but there are some other nice priced ew named above

My Selection: Greek Order 12/1
