This race is so close. So many 3rds as well Fakir D'alene, Samcro, Aramax and Early Doors.
I am hoping my system has it right here and the top 4 mentioned will go very well.
Mister Fogpatches just squeezed into the lead here. He can boast a 3rd in the Scottish National & Cork National. He certainly stays! he also wears Cheekpieces for the first time as well, which might bring out some improvement. The ground will suit well and although he has never been to Fairyhouse before, but he should cope well here. He gets a low weight here, and he could go very well.
Diol Ker is not really a horse i know too well, but looking at his form he looks like he will want the rain to fall, however he can get just over 3m on heavy so this better ground could help him get the extra distance required. The positives are he likes it at Fairyhouse, having run some nice races there.
Ronald Pump is very similar to Diol Ker in that he hasnt run this kind of distance before, but has run very well on heavy just over 3 miles haing come 2nd to Diol Ker in the Leinster National. There was only 3lb between them with Diol Ker carrying less but this time he carries 4lb less. Whereas Diol Ker though might prefer the rain Ronald Pump is proven on this ground. His stats here are 9, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2. and 1, 2 are over fences. He could run well.
Smoking Gun gets in right at the bottom of the weights. He is a winner over C&D in November. The ground is perfect for him and he gets the trip. He could go very well here.
As usual i will stick with my system but i do also quite like Smoking Gun as a big outsider as well.
