04/12/21 2:40 Aintree - The Bechers Chase - System

1st Mac Tottie 8/1 - 60

2nd Domaine De L'Isle 40/1 - 50

2nd Vieux Lion Rouge 9/1 - 50

3rd Kimberlite Candy 9/1 - 40

The systems havent quite fired yet and thats unusal as they are normally quite good. So i will keep going and hope that soon the start getting it right. Its all based on facts. But the horses need to have the form, thats why its not as good on races where the stats are not there.

Mac Tottie came top here, in what you can imagine is a very tight race. He wont mind the soft and he won at this track over 2m 5f  over the National fences. He jumped well that day, and i do like a horse who has shown a liking for these fences. What the worry is, is he is unproven at  this distance, however he has come 2nd on heavey ground over 3 and a half miles, so you would hope he could get this distance. Up 7lb for the win in the Grand Sefton. he meets a couple again who he beat easily. He could run well here but this is a little tougher, but he carries a nice light weight in what will be testing conditions.

Domaine De L'Isle has won at this distance and it was at Cheltenhham in April, it was on good ground but he is a winner on soft and heavy, albeit shorter distances, he is only 3lb higher than his win at Cheltenham. Like Mac Tottie he has a nice low weight, and he could go well at big odds.

Vieux Lion Rouge won this last year, and is 5lb higher, he did fall in the National, but thats his only incident over these fences, as he has always completed and he also won this race in 2016 as well, plus a 2nd too. Soft ground in perfect and he will give his run again.

Kimberlite Candy was 2nd in this last year and is a stayer through and through. He is 3lb lighter than that run last year, and was 2nd in it the previous year as well, both those 2nds were on his seasonal debut too which is what will happen today too. He has big claims again and cannot be dissmissed.

I am going to stick with the system but also have a small ew on Kimberlite Candy.

My Selection: Mac Tottie 8/1 (small ew on Kimberlite Candy 9/1)
