Apart from Dashel Drasher this is a tight race. So why Dashel Drasher scored so high? His Ascot form is 1, 1, 1, 1. including the Ascot Chase. This is his first run back after a break which is a concern as his stats coming off a break are 3, 2, 3. and although he has won on this ground his best form is on softer ground, so he will want to rain to fall. He beat both Master Tommytucker and Bennys King in the Ascot Chase, but this time both do come in with a run behidn them. However, his course form is solid and he will run well. 

Lostingtranslation has had a wind op since the last time we saw him. He is another who probably wants the rain to come but he is a Betfair Chase winner, and the ground wont be an issue. He hasnt ever run at Ascot but it should be an issue

Defi Du Seuil is a exceptional horse, and he also is coming back from a layoff, and a poor end to his season. Hopefully he is back to his best and if he is, he has a massive chance. He has won at Ascot but it was on Heavy over 2m 1f. 

Bennys King wont mind the ground or the trip. His stats at Ascot of 1, 2, 3, PU. And he needs to find more to beat any of these.

  1st Mr Vango 7/1 - 55 2nd O'Connell 7/1 - 45 2nd Nassalam 22/1 - 45   3 horses on 40 - Haiti Couleurs, Monbeg Genius and Collectors Item. Mr Vango came clear here the rest were all very close indeed.  Mr Vango is so consistent he will stay all day, he jumps well, the ground will be fine, although he would probably prefer some rain. He has never been to Chepstow, but his stats suggest the track will not be an issue. The only slight negative would be the quick turn around from his last race.  O'Connell  is very similar to Mr Vango in that he stays, the ground in his case is perfect, my only negative is in 7 attempts he has not won going left-handed and only placed once. He definitely prefers right-handed tracks. If that doesn't inconvenience him, he will have a chance. Nassalam has not been the same horse of late. Since winning this race in 2023 he has only completed a race once in 6 tries, with 5 P's next to his name. It does mean because of that he has slipped...
