25/09/21 3:40 Newmarket- Cambridgshire

1st Breath Caught 40/1 - 50

2nd Power Of Darkness 66/1 - 45

3rd Bell Rock 50/1 - 45

4th Ametist 25/1, Anmaat 9/2, Fantastic Fox 16/1 - 40

I dont usually do systems for races like this, but i havent done a system for the flat for a while, with 35 runners this race needs a LOT of luck, and its not always based on the best ability. Well, my system didnt fancy ayn of the more fancied runners here, in fact 4th was Ametist 33/1, Anmaat 12/1 & Fantastic Fox 16/1were the more fancied runners. Of the favourites it was actually Uncle Bryn who scored 30 to Magical Mornings 20.

You're Hired came 4th in a similar race at Newmarket in August on the July course. It was over 1f more though and he raced wide. He was also 4th in this last year off 1lb higher. And the year before that he was 11th from 30 in the widest draw, now i mention the draw because only ever been 4 races run with this many horses and 2 came from his stall and one from the stall next to him (Montather). You're Hired stats at this track on the Rowley Mile are 3, 11, 1, 4. The 3rd and 1st were from low stalls too. 4 of his 5 career wins have come on Good to Firm, track and distance are fine, he can run well in this class, and yes he is 8 now, but his last race he was less that a length behind Uncle Bryn over 1m, and we know he needs 1m1f - 1m 2f which means he ran well, and Fantastic Fox was 2 lengths behind them, and Ropey Guest was even further behind. 80/1 is massive and you can get 10 places at 45/1!

Breath Caught runs for new connections again, and won over C&D in September before his move, he will need to step up on that, and is up 7lb for that win which is hefty, but he did carry top weight and still won nicely. He gets into this carrying 8st 13lb. He is also 1, 5, 1 on the Rowley course the 5th was over 1m 4f and the 2 wins were 1m and 1m 1f, so you have to hope that at this distance at this course he might be involved. He is in stall one though so needs the gaps to open when he runs on at the end.

Data Protection wears cheekpieces for the first time and has won the Silver Cambridgshire before but is 12lb higher now, and he cam 23rd in this last year also the same asYou're Hired it was from a high draw, but he will love the ground and distance, again not the best draw but if 1lb lower than last year and if those beekpieces are going to work, you want it to be in this!!

Power Of Darkness is a horse i thought would be shorter in the betting and score more in this and he is another with headgear fitted for the first time in the guise of a visor. 10th in this last year, and 3lb lower and 4 of his 5 wins have come on this ground. I just worry this extra furlong stretches him slightly but he can hold his own in this class too, so hopefully this year he might be closer than 10th

Bell Rock has a big weight to carry but his jockey claims 3lb, which will help. His stats at this track are 1, 1, 3, 1. The ground is fine, although i would think maybe good ground would be better, and he is a good horse, i think he has massive claims, but the weight is a worry. His course form cannot be ignored though. He is 3, 1. over C&D and the 3rd was in this last year off 103, he is 5lb higher and with the jockeys 3lb claim is only 2lb higher. If there is a better handicapped horse in the race then they could well beat him and this is a race that a well handicapped horse could pop up.

Unclye Bryn could be the well handicapped horse in this race and Chichester is 9lb well in too, but i would back any of the top 5 named up here, because its a lottery. I will be sticking with my system in this.

You're Hired a non runner so have gone with the 2nd horse who is now first

My Selection: Breath Caught 40/1 - 50
