First i want to point out, as i am someone who enjoys looking at Stall stats. Well Santa Barbara has had only 1 winner from stall 1 (2%) which is pretty poor. A good horse may overcome this but i feel this is a disadvantage. 

Sacred was well clear here and its very encouraging. She has some great form in Group races last year but she was well beaten in the Cheveley Park and the trainer says she had, had enough that season, it was a race too much. She came back stronger and better and won the Nell Gwyn last time out at the track and beat the unbeaten Saffron Beach (scored 30)who had only run at this track. Sacred is now 1, 8, 1 at this track and this step up in distance looks to suit here. She has every chance. 

Alcohol Free won the Cheveley Park Stakes that Scared failed to fire in, and she won nicely. Then she came back from a break and won the Fred Darling, where she beat Statement (scored 25) by a short head. For me i am just a bit worried that 1m may just stretch her, as being by Sprinter No Nay Never, her sibling won at 1m but he was by Camelot. If she stays she has a chance but for me it is a big IF

Fev Rover is another who would worry me slightly with distance, but she won a Listed over 7f comfortably. 2nd in a Group 2 she could go well. Its interesting to see Cheekpieces on for the first time, and will like the ground. 

Star Of Emaraaty will want to go up in distance, and ran well on season debut, the fact Frankie isnt on says a lot, especially as she won the Sweet Solera last season at this course, so i dont think you can ignore her. She came 7th in the Fillies Mile over C&D but it was soft that day and the better ground will suit her. 

Of ones not Mentioned. Santa Barbara (scored 20) could be anything, because she has run once its hard to work out where she is, but she is a half sister to Iridessa , who was 1m - 1m 2f . You can never tell with once raced horses.

Thunder Beauty interesting me as trainer has Miss Amulet who you would have thought would be fine at a mile, but she isnt here and Thunder Beauty is by Night Of Thunder so 1m should be perfect.

  1st Mr Vango 7/1 - 55 2nd O'Connell 7/1 - 45 2nd Nassalam 22/1 - 45   3 horses on 40 - Haiti Couleurs, Monbeg Genius and Collectors Item. Mr Vango came clear here the rest were all very close indeed.  Mr Vango is so consistent he will stay all day, he jumps well, the ground will be fine, although he would probably prefer some rain. He has never been to Chepstow, but his stats suggest the track will not be an issue. The only slight negative would be the quick turn around from his last race.  O'Connell  is very similar to Mr Vango in that he stays, the ground in his case is perfect, my only negative is in 7 attempts he has not won going left-handed and only placed once. He definitely prefers right-handed tracks. If that doesn't inconvenience him, he will have a chance. Nassalam has not been the same horse of late. Since winning this race in 2023 he has only completed a race once in 6 tries, with 5 P's next to his name. It does mean because of that he has slipped...
