A very competitive race this with lots of stats. im hoping they are correct.
Rouge Vif topped the list for several reason. First the going will suit with stats of 1, 2, 1, 1. connections are in good form, the distance is perfect and although he ran a shocker when beaten at Cheltenham, he has since had a wind op that saw him run much better last time out. He beat Grand Sancy into 2nd in that race and its a similar situation with Nube Negra, but Nube Negra beat Grand Sancy by 13L unlike the 1 and a half lengths Rogue Vif did. Grand Sancy apparently came on so much after his run against Nube Negra, he was expected to go very close in the race against Rogue Vif, and he did, but was still beaten. So i dont think you can look too much into that. Plus Vouge Vif clocked a much quicker time over a furlong long than Nube Negra. So he should go close.
Nube Negra has been targetted at this race, although i think they would want good ground for him to be seen at his best, with stats of 1, 5, 3 on Good-soft. He ran so well in the Grade 1 Novice Chase last time out though and you cannot rule him out. That run puts him as being the one to beat.
Precious Cargo was beaten by Moonlighter last time out, and has a swing in the weights. So in theory they should reverse that, but all the horses are improving over fences. The both have a bit to find on the top 2 though.
Sjingle showed some promise over fences, but maybe a fall has knocked his confidence a bit
