Its actually a very close race, with the majority of others scoring 25-30.

Yorkhill won nicely last time out beating a couple fo todays rivals in the process. He has to give weight to all his rivals, but the fact Paul is riding, suggests he is the main choice. He will love the soft ground, with 4 runs on it s and 3 wins. The distance is a slight concern as never run well over 3miles yet, both were Grade 1 races too, but he has won at 2m 6 and a half furlongs so it really should not be an issue. He is the class horse of the race though .

Pravalaguna has 13lb less to carry than Yorkhill here. She unlike Yorkhill has won at 3 miles, and that was last time out over hurdles. That could be what she wants and so you may see a big improvement in her today. The going and track is fine, so she has good ew claims.

Dell' Arca was 4th in this last year, and is 6lb lower than then,  we know he goes well here, the going is fine and so is the distance. He is a big price and has claims on the places.

Icantsay is a C&D winner with a 2, 2, 3, 1 at the track, the only win came on the chase course in heavy conditions, so we know he will not mind any more rain. He has a very low weight and i think he can go well again.

I am sticking with my system here but the weight is a concern, will his class get him through? All the other 3 named have strong ew chances.

  1st Mr Vango 7/1 - 55 2nd O'Connell 7/1 - 45 2nd Nassalam 22/1 - 45   3 horses on 40 - Haiti Couleurs, Monbeg Genius and Collectors Item. Mr Vango came clear here the rest were all very close indeed.  Mr Vango is so consistent he will stay all day, he jumps well, the ground will be fine, although he would probably prefer some rain. He has never been to Chepstow, but his stats suggest the track will not be an issue. The only slight negative would be the quick turn around from his last race.  O'Connell  is very similar to Mr Vango in that he stays, the ground in his case is perfect, my only negative is in 7 attempts he has not won going left-handed and only placed once. He definitely prefers right-handed tracks. If that doesn't inconvenience him, he will have a chance. Nassalam has not been the same horse of late. Since winning this race in 2023 he has only completed a race once in 6 tries, with 5 P's next to his name. It does mean because of that he has slipped...
