I thought i would post up all their scores, as normally you see horses score the same, and although this is quite competitive, no horse scores the same.
I think the rain may come in time for Thomas Patrick who will love the wet conditions. His trainer is in great form, his jockey is in great form. He is a C&D winner back in March on soft.
Elegant Escape had to conceed 2lb to Thomas Patrick in their last race, now it is 7lb worst off, even though there was less than a length between them. It will not be easy, and although he has run well on soft before, i am not sure the rain is as welcome as it would be for mud lover Thomas Patrick. Also The Tizzard camp were flying when they last met, and Lacey's stable were not firing. The tables have turned slightly, and Tom Lacey has had 4 winners from his last 5 runners.
Beware The Bear is 2/2 on seasonal reapperance, so do not dismiss him. Ground should be fine, although think i would prefer not to rain for him. He is a winner at Newbury over 3m. If i am honest, i am not sure he will beat the top 2, becasue they look potential Grade 1 winners, but he has potential to improve, so who knows.
My Selection: Thomas Patrick 7/2
