Although it looks closer Holly Bush Henry was VERY impressive in this system and he must come here with a very solid chance. This is a big step up on his last win. But he is cracking form. He is 4 wins from 6 on soft ground, 2/2 with todays jockey, the track will suit and he has won here over hurdles before. He has a good weight, and since being put up in distance to 2m 7f + his stats are 1, 1, 6, 4, 1, 4, 1. His last win was 2lb lower than today, over 1f further than today and on heavy. He ha top weight that day so did well to get up. 8/1 is a good ew price.
Shanroe Santos has run a couple of very good races recently on heavy and soft over further than today. He is 2 wins and a place from 4 runs on soft, his best form has always come in February, he is a winner at this track over todays distance. He could go well based on recent form.
Loose Chips came 2nd in this last year and is on the same OR as then, he has some good stats at Sandown of 9, 2, 1, 2, 1, 7, 3, 2, 3, 5. He came here in January and was 5th to Buywise, who ran a cracker and is in the race before this a Grade 3 race. LC was beaten 10L so it was a good run. He rarely runs a bad race here.
Final Nudge has been going great guns lately, i am worried about the weight he carries, but he gets on well with Aidan Coleman who is 1, 2, 2, 3 when riding him. I am sure they fancied him in his last race The Welsh National. He has the stamina, but i do worry about the weight
