Interesting race, albeit a small field.

Vyta Du Roc pulled up in this race last year, but went on to come a head 2nd in the Grade 3 Bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown, which is a course that requires some jumping over 2f further than today. He is 3lb lower than last year. And should run a good race.

Russe Blanc is an out and out stayer, he loves nothing better than heavy ground. His last win came last January on heavy ground over 3m 5f at Warwick a Grade 3 race. He is on the same handicap mark as he was this time last year. So he has claims if running as well as he did last year.

Southfield Theatre run well at Cheltenham in December and if he puts in another effort like that he should be thereabouts. He does have top weight which is always a concern on heavy ground.

It does contain 2 previous winners of the race and after doing the system, i will conceed that Corach Rambler has a massive chance to follow up here, however we all saw the effort he put in at Cheltenham, it blew me away and it was well reported exactly how tired he was after the race. That worries me as it wasnt that long ago, althougth everything points to another very good run.
