Whiskey Chaser comes here with leading claims, he carries a low weight which is needed in what will be an out and out slog fest. He has never been this distance before but he won over 2m 7f on heavy at this track at the beginning of the month. He would have to run a career best, but i think this boy could run all day. His stats on heavy are 4, UR, 5, 4, 4, - then he steps up in distance 1, 3, PU, 2, 2, 1. I think he will go well. McCain had a treble here recently, the horse carries a low weight and he loves the going and will enjoy the extreme trip.
Emperors Choice is a mudlark, he also goes well at Haydock with stats of PU, 2, 2, 1, 3. if you look at heavy going then its 3, 2, 1, 1, 1, 6, 1, 2, 1, PU, 3. he is 11lb lower than his last win and showed signs of a revival last time out after his summer holiday. He has has 7 very poor runs since his last win (at Haydock) he comes back off a break and finds his form again at Haydock, you cannot ignore him at this track!
Harry The Viking is another who loves a good ol' slog in the mud. He also goes well at this track, although has no win to him name here. He has placed here over C&D on heavy as well. He is on the same handicap mark, but today he has a 7lb claimer on who seems to get on well with him as thier results are 2, 1, 7, 4, 1. I think he could go well here.
I can see the advantages of all 3 named, i am sticking to my system because i know Emperors Choice will run a very good race. Whiskey Chaser cannot be ignored either and Harry The Viking is a good ew price
