A lot of things are in Southfield Vic's favour, he will like the going, with 5 of his 9 wins coming on good. He is an out and out stayer. He won at Fontwell and Newton Abbot earlier this year and he won impressively. But his 2 previous runs we not his best, and he may be a bit high in the weights, but he goes well after over 100 days off with stats of  2, 2, 2, 1, 1. So although everything is in place for a big run, he might be a little high in the weights to pull it off.

Sonneofpresenting is ultra consistent with stats of 10, 1, 2, 1, 1, 1, 2 on good going. My only worry is he has never won yet over 3miles and this is a very tough ask for him, so although stats looks good, he will need to find more here.

Philip Hobbs has won this race 4 times in its 10 runnings. Lamb Or Cod runs here for him and he was disappointing on his seasonal debut at Chepstow, but he has now dropped back to the same handicap mark he was when winning the Welsh National last year. If he finds his previous form then you cannot ignore him.

Robinsfirth's held every chance in his last run before being hampered and unseating his jockey. He was hit with 2lb by the handicapper for that run, but could have plenty of improvement in him and could be a great ew chance.

It does contain 2 previous winners of the race and after doing the system, i will conceed that Corach Rambler has a massive chance to follow up here, however we all saw the effort he put in at Cheltenham, it blew me away and it was well reported exactly how tired he was after the race. That worries me as it wasnt that long ago, althougth everything points to another very good run.
