Hakam actaully ran a very good race at Doncaster last time out. Came 5th but only beaten 5L in a very competitive race, which was probably on the sharp side and not on the AW. This extra half a furlong will suit much better, and his stats on the AW are 2, 3, 1, 3, 1, 11, 6, 1, 1, 9. Hakam is by War Front, so will be much more at home on this AW surface than the good-soft turf last time. Although its his first attempt on Tapeta.

Poets Society is another who will relish a return to the AW surface. His AW stats are 2, 1, 1, 1, 3, 2. His only run at this track, he was beaten over a furlong shorter, 1lb lower than today and by less than a length. He comes back to that form then 14/1 looks impresive and i would be inclined to go ew on him.

I will stick to my system but i would not dream of putting you off Poets Society either

It does contain 2 previous winners of the race and after doing the system, i will conceed that Corach Rambler has a massive chance to follow up here, however we all saw the effort he put in at Cheltenham, it blew me away and it was well reported exactly how tired he was after the race. That worries me as it wasnt that long ago, althougth everything points to another very good run.
