8:10 Ayr - Harwoods Volante 12/1

Scorching Heat is very much the one to beat here, but Harwoods Volante does stand out as well and he certainly has place claims.

He is 2lb higher than his last win, todays going and track are fine for him, and he comes into this race slowly getting back into form. He loves June and his stats for running in this month are 2, 3, 1, 1, 10, 3, 3.If you take out those which do not have good in the going then it's 2, 3, 1, 1, 3, 3. and then focus on todays distance, then its 2, 1, 3. He came 3rd last time out on soft ground, and although he is versatile, i think the better ground suits him more, he has been dropped 1lb for that run, and i can see him going close.

Maybe a RFC  with the favourite?

  1st Corach Rambler 11/2 - 85 2nd Delta Work 18/1 - 60 3rd Galia Des Liteaux 25/1 - 50 3rd Aint That A Shame 50/1 - 50 3rd Chambard 66/1 - 50 3rd Noble Yeats 16/1 - 50 (FYI 4th Vanillier & Mac Tottie 45, 5th Nassalam, Limerick Lace, Run Wild Fred 40. 6th Latenightpass, Minella Indo & Eklat De Rire 35) I kind of feel disappointed that only one horse i like got into the top here. It does contain 2 previous winners of the race and after doing the system, i will conceed that Corach Rambler has a massive chance to follow up here, however we all saw the effort he put in at Cheltenham, it blew me away and it was well reported exactly how tired he was after the race. That worries me as it wasnt that long ago, althougth everything points to another very good run.
