8:45 Wolverhampton - Prisom 7/2
Prisom was stepped up to 1m at Newcastle after 2 good placed efforts at 7f in this class. That didn't seem to work because she was well beaten into 7th place. They dropped her back down to 7f where she was beaten a head at Southwell, by a horse rated 2lb higher than her. The winner Essenaitch then went on to win again much easier this time and is now rated about 10lb better. So that was a very good run from Prisom. The handicapper has given her a chance off the same mark, and she has cheekpieces applied this time, which work will give her a cracking chance. The 4th placed horse in her previous race has also gone on to win, and the 3rd placed horse has placed beaten less than a length. 7/2 looks a good price.

3:00 Lingfield - Dream Love 3/1
She was a surprise winner on her debut, and she probably is the most riskiest of my selections as only raced once, but she seemed to know her job well in that race and i think the jockey wasn't overly hard on her, so there is possibly a lot more to come from her, as well as he being fitter for that run. Out of that race though she beat Adalene, who was rated 76, she has been given a rating of 75. So if she has come on from that, then the handicapper could have been quite easy on her. Also Adalene has since gone on to win in this class since then, winning by 6 lengths, and the 4th placed horse Diamond Kut has since gone on to win a Class 4 race!!. Dream Love should go well.

 6:45 Wolverhampton - Pivot Bridge 10/11
Pivot Bridge is the horse i backed last time to win. His trainer doesn't send his horses over for a run, he sends them over to win. And Pivot Bridge has the breeding for Wolves, his sire has a 19% strike rate here on this surface. His trainer has sent 5 horses over who were 11/2 or less and 4 have won which is a 80% strike rate. The loser was 11/2 and he can 2nd. If you look shorter odds than 11/2 then he is 100%. He has every chance again.

 2:20 Huntingdon - Arbeo 8/1
He has won here 3 times, and in this race last year. He shot up the handicap and has spent the year droping back down and is now on the exact same mark again. He is 3/3 when racing in Janurary. And 8/1 is a good ew price for me.

  1st Mr Vango 7/1 - 55 2nd O'Connell 7/1 - 45 2nd Nassalam 22/1 - 45   3 horses on 40 - Haiti Couleurs, Monbeg Genius and Collectors Item. Mr Vango came clear here the rest were all very close indeed.  Mr Vango is so consistent he will stay all day, he jumps well, the ground will be fine, although he would probably prefer some rain. He has never been to Chepstow, but his stats suggest the track will not be an issue. The only slight negative would be the quick turn around from his last race.  O'Connell  is very similar to Mr Vango in that he stays, the ground in his case is perfect, my only negative is in 7 attempts he has not won going left-handed and only placed once. He definitely prefers right-handed tracks. If that doesn't inconvenience him, he will have a chance. Nassalam has not been the same horse of late. Since winning this race in 2023 he has only completed a race once in 6 tries, with 5 P's next to his name. It does mean because of that he has slipped...
