7:30 York - Albasharah 11/8 (nap)

Hood applied today, She was only beat 3/4L over 1m 4f in the G2 Lancashire Oaks, by the very highly rated Emirates Queen. The time before that at Ascot, she was very badly hampered that she found herself at the back of the field around 2f out, but she rallied to be beaten by just over 5L. This drop back to 1m 2f is a huge positive, and she will be hard to beat. Lady's First is on my 'Horses To Watch' list, and although she has been knocking on the door, and is capable of winning a Listed race. I think Albasharah is capable of winning Group races. Kieran Fallon comes to ride Hippy Hippy Shake, it's his only ride here. And Lady Nouf's half sister won this in 2010, and she looks to be the biggest danger to Albasharah.

8:00 York - Ehtedaam 5/2

Another Godolphin horse. Gelded before his last race at Sandown, and they also put on Cheek Pieces that day. it worked as he won easily by 5L. He was put up 6lb in the handicap, but he is due to go up another 4lb tomorrow, so he can get this race in. Altharoos looks a big danger as carrying 14lb less in weight than Ehtedaam, and is improving, but my view is Ehtedaam is a better horse and should take this despite giving weight all round.


3:30 Uttoxeter - Goats Castle 14/1 e/w

Bit of a shock tip i would think. Still a maiden at his advance years. But a very consistent horse on his day. Stats over C&D are 2, 2, 2, 3, 4. If you look at his 4th last time out, he is now 5lb lower in the handicap and carrying 4lb less in the weights. There is no reason why even now he cannot win a race, and i would suspect if he did it would be over C&D on good ground.

7:35 Wexford - Erritt Lake SP

Barry Geraghty is an eye catching booking for this horse. Unproven over this distance though, which is a bit of a negative. However a visor is fitted today which might spark him up.

3:10 Ascot - Broxbourne 6/1 won at 12/1

As a lot of you know, i follow this horse and it's a bit of a step up, but she gets 2 miles and a little break might of done her the world of good. On her day she would have a very good chance.

  1st Corach Rambler 11/2 - 85 2nd Delta Work 18/1 - 60 3rd Galia Des Liteaux 25/1 - 50 3rd Aint That A Shame 50/1 - 50 3rd Chambard 66/1 - 50 3rd Noble Yeats 16/1 - 50 (FYI 4th Vanillier & Mac Tottie 45, 5th Nassalam, Limerick Lace, Run Wild Fred 40. 6th Latenightpass, Minella Indo & Eklat De Rire 35) I kind of feel disappointed that only one horse i like got into the top here. It does contain 2 previous winners of the race and after doing the system, i will conceed that Corach Rambler has a massive chance to follow up here, however we all saw the effort he put in at Cheltenham, it blew me away and it was well reported exactly how tired he was after the race. That worries me as it wasnt that long ago, althougth everything points to another very good run. He has been given a big chance at the weights here, as a lot of you know i am very into the weights carried in this race and at the bottom i will name 4 horses who i would not touch and one of them i actually really liked unti
