System Picks Royal Ascot Day 2

2:30 Jersey Stakes

1st Montiridge 6/1 - 55
2nd Ninjago 25/1 - 50
2nd Arjaam 16/1 - 50
3rd Blaine 50/1 - 40
4th Garswood 9/2 - 35
5th Gale Force Ten 4/1 - 25
The Brothers War - 14/1 - 25

Hot little race this. Not great for favourite's either, but then again i have Gale Force Ten in 5th. Garswood is i horse i like and i think he is expected to bounce back after disappointment in the 2000 Guineas. Not sure he quite got the trip so the drop back to 7f could play to his advantage. Montiridge has every right to be 1st here and i like the horse a lot, unbeaten over 7f. The Brother's War is difficult to assess, like all the French horses, reason being is because their ground type is slightly different, and they all seem to do better with a slower surface. Arjaam is probably very interesting and Ninjago. Blaine is last years Gimcrack, although didn't do well on comeback, however the step up might suit. For me it's between Garswood and Montirdge, Arjaam and Blaine either one to place. And special mentions to Mutin who is unbeaten, but will he cope on the fast ground? and Parliament Square, seems as O'Briens 2nd string are doing much better at Royal Ascot

3:05 Duke Of Cambridge

1st Chigun 11/4 - 100
2nd Dank 9/2 - 90
3rd Duntle 5/2 - 75
4th Thistle Bird 13/2 - 50
4th Sweetnessandlight 66/1 - 50
5th Sarkiyla 8/1 - 25

Chigun looks ripe to take this, and there wouldn't be a dry eye in the house. Dank beat her by a short head at Newmarket, but that was over 1m 1f, and she has run twice now over that distance and lost both, bringing her back down to 1m, then she will be tough to beat. I agree with the system here, Chigun is my choice

3:45 Prince Of Wales

1st Camelot 5/2 - 75
2nd The Fugue 11/2 - 65
3rd Al Kazeem 9/4 - 60
4th Afsare 28/1 - 45
5th Mukhadram 20/1 - 30

I am surprised Al Kazeem didn't come out first in this, looks the horse to beat. I think Al Kazeem is the horse to beat here, but there is a horse that i have backed ante post for this as i knew it was his aim and if you follow me, you know that connections this this could be Hamdan Al Maktoum's best horse this year. I have backed him e/w and i am going with Mukhadram. Also i need to point out that he had 8 months off the track and came back to make all in a Group 3.

4:25 Royal Hunt Cup

1st Educate 10/1 - 55
2nd Premio Loco 33/1 - 45
3rd Stirring Ballad 8/1 - 35
4th Trade Commissioner 12/1 - 30
5th Prince Of Johanne 12/1 - 30
6th Winter's Night 33/1 - 25

Possibly the most difficult race to do, and i was surprised that the top 6 were all seperate and not sharing a position. Educate is the horse to beat according to the system, and certainly worth an e/w. Very progressive horse. I actually can put a case for all of them. As i cannot decide in this i am happy to let the system lead the way here

5:00 Queen Mary

1st Fire Blaze 10/1 - 70
2nd Rizeena 6/1 - 65
3rd Reroute 8/1 - 50
4th Kaiulani 14/1 - 40
4th Quatuor 16/1 - 40
4th Excels Beauty - 33/1 - 40
4th Beldale memory 4/1 - 40

Another very hard race. Had Fire Blaze on my one to watch list. So he has obvious charms. All these have chances. But the horse i am going with and have backed e/w is Baytown Kestrel at 33/1 - blew away the competition in her first outing at 50/1. Finflash was odds on to win, and this filly just flew, asked to accelerate and off she went. She can only improve, best £400 anyone has spent, and i cannot see why she can't give these a run for their money.
Just a quick note, i also had notes on Kaiulani, Martin Harley was looking forward to riding this horse here, really rates her. Quatuor, connections think she will be there at the end. And Rizeena, to say how impressive her last win was.

5:35 Sandringham

1st Waterway Run 20/1 - 60
2nd The Gold Cheongsam 25/1 - 40
3rd Valtina 33/1 - 35
4th Auction 18/1 - 30
4th Bracing Breeze 8/1 - 30

Bracing Breeze looks in this and 8/1 is ok for an e/w. But i will stick with Waterway Run, and i had always liked The Gold Cheongsam last year, i hope she bounces back
