2:00 Newcastle - Mr Matthews 4/1

I know there is a hot favourite here in Good Old Boy Lukey, but i was impressed with Mr Matthews win last time out, and he beat some nice types in Disclosure, Ixelles Diamond and Mitcd, where as GOBL's last race looks a lot weaker. Mr Matthews last run, he seemed to run quite green still, and was quite keen at the start. But did well to win, and win nicely too. As long as he get's his lead he will be tough to beat.

4:40 Warwick - Dutch Mistress 3/1 - £40

Paphos is favourite here, but he has gone up a lot since his last run and is top weight. My choice is still improving. In her 5 runs so far she has been in the top 3 in all 5. Her last race she was stepped up in class and was only beaten a short head, today she drops back down in class. She does have a bit of weight to carry, but i cannot see it being an issue as she has carried more to victory.


8:50 Hamilton - Hopes n' Dreams 5/1

This was a nice little race to look at, and i ended up focusing on HND and Barkston Ash, both have great form here HND is unbeaten over C&D here, stats are 1, 1, 1, while BA has raced 5 times here and won 1 and been placed in the other 4, stats are 2, 3, 1, 2, 2, . Two of those defeats have been by HND over C&D. I believe HND can stamp her authority once again. Both of these have beaten Sunraider, and HND's has also beaten Bonnie Charlie. I cannot see those forms being reversed. My only worry is the weight they have to carry, but for me they look much better than the others. I think HND will win this, but am also sure Barkston Ash will be very close, and at 7/1 is not a bad Reverse f/c. However for me i am tipping the single bet

  1st Corach Rambler 11/2 - 85 2nd Delta Work 18/1 - 60 3rd Galia Des Liteaux 25/1 - 50 3rd Aint That A Shame 50/1 - 50 3rd Chambard 66/1 - 50 3rd Noble Yeats 16/1 - 50 (FYI 4th Vanillier & Mac Tottie 45, 5th Nassalam, Limerick Lace, Run Wild Fred 40. 6th Latenightpass, Minella Indo & Eklat De Rire 35) I kind of feel disappointed that only one horse i like got into the top here. It does contain 2 previous winners of the race and after doing the system, i will conceed that Corach Rambler has a massive chance to follow up here, however we all saw the effort he put in at Cheltenham, it blew me away and it was well reported exactly how tired he was after the race. That worries me as it wasnt that long ago, althougth everything points to another very good run.
