Todays Nap

 4:40 Haydock - Dolaluto 12/1 e/w

Seeing Neighbother at 4/5 this morning i just couldn't keep him as my nap. I am positive he will win, but i want to give you value and so i am going to go with a old nap of mine Dolatulo. This is a step up in class for him and he has gone up 10lb in the handicap for his last win. But there are several reasons i like this boy. Firstly it's a left handed course and i said last time that he jumped so badly to his left that he needs to go that way. Secondly, this distance is what he needs, the ground is perfect for him. And in his last race he won by 16L, but he was eased so he could of won by even further if it was needed.

He is up against some very good horses in the race, Conquisto, Attaglance and Dare Me to name a few. I think Attaglance will be very dangerous on Good ground, Dare Me might need more rain to be effective and Conquisto has to burden top weight here. So although this is my Nap's toughest race to date, he is in the form of his life and will be up there at the end.


7:05 Warwick - Neighbother 4/5

Neighbother will be very short, but after a awful week for my naps, i wanted to go with a horse that will win. Connections are confident that he is mentally ready to win, and is a horse they like a lot.

A horse i wanted to concentrate on though is Whippy Cream. It's a 7 runner race, but Marco Botti reckons she has come on for her last run run, the 12f will suit her, and she is very interesting. I agree, especially as her very first run she was 4th by only 2 3/4L behind Banoffee, who went on to win very well at Chester this week, i think for that run 10/1 is generous. Would of liked another runner to make bookies pay 3 places, but i still think she will be in the top 2

  1st Mr Vango 7/1 - 55 2nd O'Connell 7/1 - 45 2nd Nassalam 22/1 - 45   3 horses on 40 - Haiti Couleurs, Monbeg Genius and Collectors Item. Mr Vango came clear here the rest were all very close indeed.  Mr Vango is so consistent he will stay all day, he jumps well, the ground will be fine, although he would probably prefer some rain. He has never been to Chepstow, but his stats suggest the track will not be an issue. The only slight negative would be the quick turn around from his last race.  O'Connell  is very similar to Mr Vango in that he stays, the ground in his case is perfect, my only negative is in 7 attempts he has not won going left-handed and only placed once. He definitely prefers right-handed tracks. If that doesn't inconvenience him, he will have a chance. Nassalam has not been the same horse of late. Since winning this race in 2023 he has only completed a race once in 6 tries, with 5 P's next to his name. It does mean because of that he has slipped...
