Not going to say to much about Utopie Des Bordes as there is another horse i want to tell you about, but Utopie Des Bordes should win well. I have followed her and she is very classy. She should be very hard to get past today.
There were several horses i really liked today and couldn't decide which one to have as a nap. i nearly did this horse but i had a couple of doubts which made me go for the one i am confident on. I am talking about West Leake Hare, he is 18/1 e/w. Firstly it's his first run for the yard, and i like that in a horse, i think it can revitalize some horses. But it's his stats i am keen on. he has been racing in much higher classes. but mainly over 5 and 6 furlongs. Also he has raced several times on the A/W and shown nothing at all.
But today he is running over 7f on good - firm and if you look at his stats over 7f they are 2, 4 (both Class 2) today it's a Class 6 race. The 2nd he was beaten a short head. That 2nd was also on todays going. His other runs on G-F are 2, 1, 2, 9. 3 of those, 3 were over 6f. The step back up to 7f plus a slip down the ratings. He was rated 75 for his short head 2nd over distance and going, today he is 10lb lower. His jockey claims 7lb too. My worry is he hasn't run since September and he might need the run, but if he runs anywhere near that 2nd in a class 2, then he would be hard to catch. It is risky but it looks like a good risk.
