Forgotton Voice - “A good and fast horse on the flat and will
like decent ground. Missed Cheltenham because Aintree was always going to suit
him better and so will the ground in the Top Novices Hurdle.” NH
Free Thinking “She didn’t like the heavy ground at Sandown when she
was third last time. She’ll be much better in the Mares’ bumper on better
going.” NH
Khyber Kim “It’s
being discussed which is the right trip for him, either two and a half on
Friday or the three mile handicap hurdle on Thursday. He’s come out of
Cheltenham well and he’ll definitely run in one of them.” NH
Minella Forfitness
“I’m keen to get him into the 2m 4f handicap hurdle on Friday. He’s not badly
treated, likes decent ground and has a turn of pace over the trip and is
improving.” NH
My Tent Or Yours
“Has come out of his Cheltenham exertions well, very well in fact, and runs in
the Top Novices’ Hurdle on Friday.” NH
Punjabi “He’s not
what he was but likes decent ground and will take his chance in the two and a
half mile handicap hurdle on Friday if he gets in.” NH
Sprinter Sacre
“He didn’t have a hard race winning at Cheltenham and has worked very well
since. There’s no reason why he should stay two and a half miles on good ground
at Aintree in the Melling Chase.” NH
State Benefit
“Was very exuberant when he ran at Kempton last time. He’ll be well suited by
the fences in the Topham but even better by the faster ground – he must have
it.” NH
Triolo D’Arlene
“The Topham is the race for him. I think he’ll love jumping those big fences
and the ground should be perfect this time.” NH
Criqtonic "A
nice six-year-old that won well over fences at Wincanton last time on just his
fourth start for us but needs to improve in the Topham." PN
Fistral Beach
"Hasn’t run since he was third in the Topham a year ago but don’t worry
about that – he’s best fresh and likes the track and better ground." PN
Funny Star
"Hasn’t run for a while; he is improving but also quite inexperienced.
That said I think he looks nicely weighted in the two and a half mile handicap
on Friday." PN
Just A Par
"Will run well in the Sefton Novices’ Hurdle over three miles on Friday.
He is a really nice horse that has improved since he was second in a decent
race at Exeter in February, when he ran pretty green. This will be his last run
over hurdles before chasing." PN
Pacha Du Polder
"Did very well to win at Newbury in early March because he does want
better ground which he’s going to get in the Topham." PN
Rocky Creek
"Deserves to take his chance in the Mildmay Novices’ Chase on Friday.
Three miles and a furlong is fine and we missed Cheltenham to go for this. I
just hope the faster ground is OK for him." PN
There’s No Panic
"He’s been crying out for better ground and I’d expect a good run in
either the Topham or the John Smith’s Handicap Chase over 3m 1f on
Saturday." PN
Imperial Leader “Will take his chance in the Sefton Novices'
Hurdle over three miles on the Friday – a big ask.” NDT
Little Josh “He’s become something of an Aintree
specialist, seventh in the Topham last year and won the Grand Sefton in
December. He jumps the fences extremely well and he’ll prefer the better ground
that he’s going to get and I’m very excited about his chance of improving on
last year’s Topham run. He goes into the race a relatively fresh horse.” NTD
Master Of The Sea
- “Put up a very good effort for a novice to finish fifth in the Coral Cup and
drops back to novice company and three miles in the Sefton Novices’ Hurdle.
He’s got winning form over three miles and the quickening ground will suit him
back at this trip.” NTD
Dunowen Point “He
was always heading for the Topham. A strong traveller and, touch wood, a good
jumper. Will be suited by some nice ground and has still been managing to run
well without it this season. Looks a good opportunity.” DM
Swift Arrow “A
very straightforward horse that should be suited by the Topham and some decent
ground. Still going the right way.” DM
