Great days racing today, and i really had a tough time picking a horse that stood out. But i think i found him. Robin Hoods Bay has been pretty progressive recently on the a/w. Looking at his previous races, his last race was the Winter Derby, where he was beaten by half a length to Faraaj, who i rate. They both broke the track record that day, and it was a pretty impressive run. The previous record holder was Planteur who broke it a couple of weeks previous, beating Milbish by a neck. Milbish has gone up just 1lb for that run and meets Robin Hoods Bay here, but you have to think that, Robin Hoods Bay even with a 6lb penalty, should be able to beat Milbish today. Planteur has gone to Meyden to take his place in the Dubai World Cup.
Before that run he won over C&D, and then before that he ran at Lingfield and beat Strictly Silver, who then went on to win the Lincoln Trial, 3rd horse Emerald Witness went out to win their next race too.Tinshu is a worry as 11lb better off and they have met 2 times already, and he has been close every time. But Robin Hoods Bay just keeps improving and dropping down into Listed company,
A quick look at the Dubai World Cup, in my opinion this race has been set up for Hunter's Light to win. Won over C&D last time out and beat Kassiano by just over 2L. Hunter's Light was in stall 4 and Kassiano in the worse stall 12. But did well in defeat. Hunter's Light draws stall 4 again, while Kassiano has got stall 13. Making it an even tougher task. I like Kassiano, but fear that this race is set up for Hunter's Light to try and take it
