This horse loves it at Southwell. Stats over course and distance is 1. That was last time out when he won by an impressive 5L. In all though, his stats at the course were 3, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1. the 3rd place was over 6f and the others were 7f, except the last which was 1m. I think the 6f was too short, he is clearly bred to stay a mile. His winning margins were 13L, 8l, 3l, 2l and 5l.  He beat The Lock Master who he opposes today by 13L.

Now it is a step up in class for him, plus he carries a 10lb penalty, it might scare some people off, however, after his 4th win here, he spent 2 years away from the track, because he shot up to a rating of 95, and there were no races suitable for him. Connections have managed to get his rating low enough for him to run, and still he goes up 10lbs, and is now rated 92. But they managed to get him in for another run. Even though he is top weight, and on a hefty handicap mark, i think he can do this. He has won here carrying 10st on a rating of 87 in a class 5 race. Today he carries 9st 7lb and is on a mark of 92. He only won by 2L that day, but i think the extra furlong will help today.

It does contain 2 previous winners of the race and after doing the system, i will conceed that Corach Rambler has a massive chance to follow up here, however we all saw the effort he put in at Cheltenham, it blew me away and it was well reported exactly how tired he was after the race. That worries me as it wasnt that long ago, althougth everything points to another very good run.
