Very interesting race for me, it was between 2 horses. But Russian Ice edges for me, however the other horse is worth a second look for an e/w. Russian Ice's 4 wins have all come over todays course and distance. Her last win came last time out, beating Bussa by a head, she is up 3lbs for that and i think that is very fair, and sets the standard. If re-producing that form, she will be hard to beat. Her course and distance stats are 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 6, 3, 4, 2, 1 - it's worth pointing out the 6th and 3rd both came in a higher class. The other horse in this race is Ocean Legend 13/2 who out of 8 career wins, 6 have been over course and distance. Course and distance results are 3, 2, 8, 1, 1, 1, 3, 1, 3, 8, 7, 1, 7, 7, 5, 7, 6.  Although recent form doesn't look great, he had been off since September when he came back and was 6th over course and distance. His history tells me that he always needs a race after a break to sharpen him up, and has ALWAYS improved for his next run after that. So i would not be surprised to see him improve. Also most of his win here have come from stall 5 - 7, today he is in stall 7. His last win was in a higher class, and he has been higher in the handicap for his wins, so it gives him a very good chance, for a place today.
