Tips for 16/2/13

Rocky Creek has real potential

Firstly i admit to having a hard time deciding which horses to be my top tips today. There are so many i really like and, so take a good look at the Daily Tips. I am very confident for a good day.

1:45 Haydock - Zamdy Man 2/1
2:05 Ascot - Rocky Creek 4/5 (nap) -£18
2:40 Ascot - The Rainbow Hunter 7/1 e/w
2:50 Lingfield - Dark Lane 11/2 e/w
2:55 Haydock - Giles Cross 15/2 e/w
3:10 Gowran Park - Zaidpour 8/11
3:15 Ascot - The Bear Trap 7/2
3:35 Wincanton - Zarkander 2/5- £14
4:15 Wincanton - South Stack 11/1 e/w - £18.75
5:40 Meydan - Layli Dubai 11/2 e/w

£100 stake - £50.75 return = - £49.25 loss

A couple of these are short and although i put them as singles, i would suggest doubles or treble
Zarkander 2/5, Rocky Creek 4/5, Zaidpour 8/11

Todays Nap

2:05 Ascot - Rocky Creek 4/5

I know this horse is a bit short, but Zarkander was my other main choice and he is 2/5. Both of these i cannot see being beaten. Zaraknder is my Champion Hurdle pick, so am hoping for a very bold showing today. But going to Rocky Creek, i know connections like this horse a lot. Today he ticks all the boxes, and he won very well last time out. Only concern will be Real Milan who is 2 out of 2 in Novice Chases, and he is also thought quite well of by connections too, but Rocky Creek in my view is much better than Real Milan and although i am sure Real Milan will be there at the end. Rocky Creek will come out on top.

Other picks today is Zamdy Man, i posted yesterday that this is a horse i noted for his next run, which is today and he is expected to win. Giles Cross is a horse i really like, and i think he ticks all the right boxes. I was worried after he suddenly pulled up in the Welsh National, he had been jumping beautifully, but he just run out of petrol, plain and simple. Although the horse had been off for getting on for a year, so although he normally he runs well fresh the conditions that day were extremely testing, and after a good run i think he will be match fit today and give a much better account of himself (would be one for the National if the ground was heavy)

The Bear Trap is interesting, he has a great chance and the fact McCoy is going down to 10st 4lbs is significant, and when he does go that low, he normally does it for a good reason.

Good Luck today and i hope it's very profitable
