Todays Nap

7:00 Kempton - Asia Minor 11/4

This lightly raced Pivitol filly gets the thumbs up from me today. The step up to 1m 4f a few weeks ago here at Kempton, showed connections this is exactly what she needed. She won going away from the others and even with a 6lb penalty i think she will be hard to catch, the only negative is that she is in stall 12 of 14, and that will be tough, but there is still scope for improvement.

A mention about some other choices today, Officer in Command deserves a mention, this is a much better race than his last one where he came in 5th of 6 runners to The Mongoose, who is also running today. He lost by 3/4 of a length and was so late out of the stalls he actually lost a lot of ground. He was running on at the end and would of pass the lot of them if it was another couple of yards, and although slightly further might suit better, if he can jump out on terms today, i would like his e/w chances. Bowstar is the one to beat though.

Todays UAE 2000gns, the favourite Soft Falling Rain looks hard to beat. however he is unknown over this distance, and although he won his trial over 7f very well, this extra furllong might find him out, and that's where the others come in, Fortify looks good to get the 1m but i want to look at Snowboarder. I liked this horse last year, and that's what happend last week, i really liked Lovely Pass and she won the 1000gns, so maybe it works for me. Anyway Snowboarder goes well on the a/w and he beat another horse i like in the form of Janoub Nibras over 1m. Although not rated as highly as Soft Falling Rain, i do not think he has been tested yet. He was beaten by Soft Falling Rain in the trial, but looks to be running on, so i think he could be a surprise package, and his odds look good for a nice e/w bet
