Todays Nap

3:35 Newbury - Pearl Swan 9/1 e/w

Obviously My Tent Or Yours will go off favourite here, but i took notice of this horse a while ago when Paul Nicholls said he was absolutely thrilled with his run in a bumper last time out, and he would be his number one horse in this race. I was surprised as he has Dark Lover, who is a horse i like.

Pearl Swan had a breathing op in the summer, and needed the run in the bumper, to get him race fit. He was travelling very well in the Triumph Hurdle before falling at the last, probably could of won it. He has been training with Zarkander (my choice for the Champion Hurdle) and has improved a lot since his run in the bumper.

My only worry is lack of speed, but Newbury has such a long run in, that he can certainly pick them off, as long as he doesnt give them a really big lead. He is better than his rating of 146.

Todays NB

 2:50 Uttoxeter - Mohi Rahrere 12/1 e/w

This was my Nap last time out and he just didn't go well at all. I am not sure for the reasons, but i am hoping whatever it was is well behind him.

He doesn't run often, because he is at his best very fresh. Todays Distance is fine, he has won at a higher class, quite well in fact, and Heavy ground should cause no issue, although would be nice if a little drier. He seems to go well at Uttoxeter, stats read 3, PU, 5, 1, 1, 6, 2  also is now back down to the same mark that he last won a. So i am hoping of a good run today at a nice price
