Was a big fan of his dam Soviet Song, now i understand he is not easy to train and Racing Post has him down as being gelded, but the yard does not have that info available. Soviet Song was a 1m G1 winner, and he is racing over 1m today, so will be very interesting to see if he has any class his dam did)

4:00 Newcastle - Clumber Place 14/1 into 9/2

2:30 Epsom - Heyward Girl 14/1 into 9/2

I will concentrate on Clumber Place today as having looked at Heyward Girl, and i really cannot find what the fuss is about, she has no form what so ever this year and unless there is some stable talk, the only thing i can think recommends her is that she is now on a lower mark than when she last won in Oct 2011. But because of the amount of money coming in, i wanted to highlight her.

Going to Clumber Place now, and this horse certainly likes Newcastle, she has run there 3 times over  course and distance and won twice. the ground shouldn't be a problem for her either, so i can see why the money has come in for her. There has been some money on another horse in the race - Waveguide 7/1 into 9/2, and i think the horse shouldn't be ruled up either, Waveguide managed a creditable 3rd last time out on soft ground over a mile, i think the drop in furlong might help the horse gain a first victory.

But my tip will be Clumber Place for the win, and maybe Waveguide for a place.
