Straight From The Horses Mouth 22/6/12 Royal Ascot

will be updated again by 11am tomorrow
Saturday 23rd June
14:30Chesham Stakes
Frege 33/1 - Johar filly made a promising start to her career with a close fourth from the widest position at Lingfield. She takes a huge step up in class but is sure to appreciate the extra furlong. Brian Meehan
Tha’Ir 7/1 - Tha’ir won his maiden well and has come on for that outing. “The step up to seven furlongs will suit him but he needs to improve again to run well in a Listed race like this Saeed bin Suroor
Lovely Pass 8/1 - Lovely Pass lost six or seven lengths at the start on her debut because she went left at the start. She should be a nice filly if she can give a field that advantage and still win comfortably. “We decided to give her a jump in class after that and see how good she is. We don’t know how she will cope with the ground because she won on fast going at Lingfield, but we will have to wait and see. Mahmood Al Zarooni
Fadeintoinfinity 50/1 -Jim Bolger's wide margin Curragh winner Move To Strike is probably the one to beat here. I ride Fadeintoinfinity, who has her sights raised considerably after winning a seller at York last time. Admittedly, she won it well and had earlier shown placed form in better company, but you would have to think that she is up against it here, to put it mildly. Ryan Moore

15:05 Hardwicke Stakes
Red Cadeaux - we are optimistic that the recent Yorkshire Cup winner and Coronation Cup second can continue his remarkable run of form for Hong Kong based owner Ronnie Arculli. - Ed Dunlop
Testosterone - is a talented filly, who has not had a run for us yet but is also engaged in the Hardwicke Stakes on Saturday. This Nurlan Bizakov owned four year old won three times last year, taking the Prix De Royaumont (Group 3) and the Prix De Malleret (Group 2), as well as being second to Galikova in the Prix Vermeille (Group 1). She is a big scopey type who should be capable of building on her already impressive resume. - Ed Dunlop
Hunter’s Light 25/1 - I was pleased with Hunter’s Light at Sandown and he has been working nicely recently. The step back up to a mile and a half will be no problem and I am hopeful that he can run well. Saeed bin Suroor
Sea Moon 4/1 -This looks a very hot Hardwicke and while Sea Moon has leading claims, I wouldn't necessarily say he has a favourite's chance. Yes, he wasn't impressive on his reappearance but things didn't pan out ideally for him there and you have to remember that was only a starting point for the season, like Carlton House in the Brigardier Gerard before Wednesday's excellent second here. But we saw last season, when he progressed throughout, what a horse of top-class potential Sea Moon is. He was slightly unlucky in the Leger and ran an excellent race to finish second to St Nicholas Abbey at Churchill. That form probably makes him the one to beat here and he has pleased us since Goodwood, and he is proven in testing conditions.
But, like I said, there are a lot of big dangers here. Going down the card Aiken is clearly progressive, proven on the course and on the ground, and won well at Chantilly last time. I rode Jakkalberry to finish an excellent third in the Sheema Classic, as well as Red Cadeaux to a good second to St Niicholas Abbey in the Coronation at Epsom. And Memphis Tennessee won well at Chester. And that is without mentioning the likes of Dunaden. This Group 2 will take a lot of winning. Ryan Moore

15:45 The Diamond Jubilee Stakes
The Cheka 33/1 -  He looks fantastic and is working well, his sprint form this year is looking better and better and we are all looking forward to Saturday. Eve Johnson Houghton
Soul 66/1- Soul won well on his first start of the year but then he disappointed on Tapeta in the Golden Shaheen. He ran a better race at York last time although he is coming up against the world’s top sprinters now and needs to improve on that run Saeed bin Suroor
Society Rock 12/1 - will not mind it soft tomorrow as he won on it last year. In fact he doesn't seem to mind any ground.  I have read that Black Caviar weighs between 580kgs to over 600kgs in different papers so if we say she weighs 590kgs that is 20.5 stone heavier than SOCIETY ROCK who is a colt! –James Fanshawe

16:25 Wokingham Stakes
High Standing 25/1 & Medicean Man 25/1 – High Standing is on target still for the Wokingham and looks bright. I have been overwhelmed by the number of Australian supporters coming over as Sutton Veny braces for an Antibodean Invasion. I have obviously underestimated the interest in MEDICEAN MAN and HIGH STANDING with so many desperate to get to Ascot on the Saturday to see them run in the Wokingham. I hope they can live up to expectations.... – Jeremy Gask
Alben Star 14/1 is in tip-top shape. I had to give him a lot of races over the winter as he was getting so fat on us and this was his first major target. We're hopeful he'll run a very big race but I don't just know if he wants it too soft. I'll be watching the weather for both of mine – Richard Fahey
Sir Reginald 33/1 - went to Dubai and it didn't happen for him over there, he didn't settle at all. The whole regime didn't suit him and his work since has been on ok but he hasn't done anything sparkling. He's rated 100 and there aren't many races for him so barring the ground going heavy he'll run. Richard Fahey
Lui Rei 20/1 - Lui Rei has won two of his last three starts and for his win at Epsom on Derby day he has to carry at 5lb penalty.  He is in good form, our fingers are crossed!!!! . . .  Robert Cowell
Elusivity 22/1 - Having improved throughout last season, Elusivity deserved his runs in a Listed and then two Group races in the spring. In his latest he was sixth of 12 to Bated Breath in the Group 2 Temple Stakes at Haydock. Always at his best in large fields of high-class handicappers, he will be weaving his way through late and appeals as a sound each-way bet. Brian Meehan
Scarf 20/1 - Scarf ran a much better race at Doncaster - he relaxed more in his race. He heads to Ascot in good order and I am looking forward to seeing him run well again. Saeed bin Suroor
Mac’s Power 12/1 - a lovely old horses seems well at home but he may not appreciate the ground either. James Fanshawe
King Of Jazz 16/1 - He’s in good form at home. The stiff six furlongs and big field will suit him. Hayley Turner
High Standing 14/1 - I won this race on him for Mr Haggas three years ago and he turns up here on a 4lb higher mark. My gut feeling is that he is possibly 2lb or so too high in the weights here against some younger and more progressive sprinters. But he took a definite step in the right direction when fourth for me at Newmarket last time, shaping really nicely. Although he has won on soft ground, to me he is a better horse on better ground, so the recent rain would be a negative. But he clearly has chances after his last run. Ryan Moore

17:00 Duke Of Edinburgh Handicap
Anatolian 12/1 - Anatolian ran nicely at Newmarket and he is working well. I am a bit worried that he has been raised 7lbs for finishing second there but he is in good form and the ground will suit him. Mahmood Al Zarooni
Alkimos 16/1 - Alkimos has been disappointing so far this year and he never shows a great deal in the mornings. He ran well at this meeting last year so he likes the course and I hope the return to Ascot will help his chance. Saeed bin Suroor
Mulaqen 14/1 - Mulaqen won in good style at York before a creditable run at Newmarket last time off a much stiffer mark. The ground and course should suit him well Marcus Tregoning
Licence To Till 16/1 -I don't know much about the horse having never sat on him. But the formbook tells you I have some reason to be confident, as he scored an emphatic win on the soft at Chester last time and is oinly 5lb higher here. Goes from the front, so we are not badly drawn in stall six. Of the others, I really liked the look of Midsummer Sun when he won at Lingfield back in April and he returned to something like that form last time. I think he could be a big player here. Ryan Moore

17:35 Queen Alexandra Stakes
American Trilogy 16/1 - I am due to have my first ever runner on the flat at Royal Ascot on Saturday with American Trilogy engaged in the last race on the card The Queen Alexandra Stakes over two miles and five furlongs so we look forward to that. – Paul Nicholls
Simenon 4/1 - There is no secret or major story here - he makes a quick reappearance after bolting up for me in the Ascot Stakes earlier in the week. That 6 length win off a mark of 95 confirmed himself a much improved horse for Willie Mullins and if he is the same sort of form today, then you have to give him a big shout. But meeting the likes of Overturn off levels is clearly a much more difficult task then he faced here on Tuesday, though the recent rain isn't a concern. Ryan Moore
