Straight From The Horses’ Mouth

FANTACISE (Newmarket 2.30 p.m.) Pivotal filly responded well to first-time blinkers when a comfortable winner from a decent field in a Pontefract maiden on Sunday. She takes a big step in class, but has experience on her side and can boast a family brim-full of high-class juvenile siblings, including two Queen Mary winners.
SECRET SIGN (Windsor 2.55 p.m.) Sakhee’s Secret gelding was very green when making his debut at Newbury. More experience needed, but a better run is anticipated.
INTIBAAH (Newmarket 4.05 p.m.) Elnadim newcomer makes his debut after some likeable performances on the home gallops. Will almost certainly be better for the run, but the colt could have a future.
DANGEROUS MIDGE (Newmarket 4.40 p.m.) Stable stalwart and Breeders’ Cup Turf winner from 2010 reverts to handicaps for the first time since finishing unplaced in that year’s Ebor. Needed his recent comeback in France, and it will be interesting to see whether the handicapper has pitched him correctly on 100.
SYMPHONY TIME (Lingfield 7.25 p.m.) Drops in class and up a furlong in distance from her latest effort. At her best she would have place claims off 70.
CAPITOL GAIN (Lingfield 8.30 p.m.) Bahamian Bounty gelding is shaping as an untypical staying type for the sire. He ran his best race last time at 10 furlongs and can improve again at this mile and a half. Working nicely and looks an improver. Good each-way chance.

Lingfield AW 8.30: SCARLETT FEVER
Scarlett Fever makes her handicap debut. Hopefully she will be suited by the step up in trip, addition of cheek pieces and the return to an all weather surface

Charlie Hills
3:45 Chester - We're looking forward to seeing Red Art 6/1 back in action as he suffered a setback during the spring

Alan King
3:20 Newcastle - We could not get Hayley Turner for The Betchworth Kid in Saturday's Northumberland Plate, but Alan is more than happy to secure the services of Adam Beschizza for the big Gosforth Park handicap, which has to pass a midday inspection today with parts of the track under water.
Alan said:"Adam finished second on the horse in the November Handicap two years ago, so, with Hayley, who knows the old boy better than anyone, unavailable, he was the obvious choice.
"The Betchworth Kid ran really well on his comeback race at York recently, and I'd like to think that he will come on a bit for that. However, we are under no illusions about the task ahead - he likes a bit of juice in the ground but I am not sure he wants such testing conditions and it is clearly going to be quite brutal up there.

2:15 Newcastle -  Mayson 6/1 has a Group Three penalty in the Betfred Mobile Lotto Chipchase Stakes and I'd be a little bit worried if it got like a bog. I just don't want to tear the guts out of him.
We'll be seeing what the track is like on the day but he's in great order. He came back a bit stiff and sore after York but we've given him plenty of time to get over it. It looks a nice race for him, bar the fact he's giving everything weight and I'm happy with him. Extreme soft gound is a major worry, though, so we'll make a decision on the day.
2:40 Chester - Arley Hall  12/1 ran they went no gallop and it wouldn't suit her. If they don't go a gallop this time in the Assembly Techniques 25th Anniversary Handicap at Chester we'll be more positive and probably make it with her. She stays well and she is a filly that is going to win a race. Whether it's this one or not we'll find out on Saturday.
2:45 Newcastle - Valery Borzov will love the ground in the Betfred Mobile Sports Handicap at Newcastle. He won a couple last year and though the handicapper might have him he's in great order and the ground will suit so you've always got a chance. Arctic Feeling also runs here but has been disappointing on his last three or four runs, we just need to get him travelling, but I am worried about the ground for him.
3:20 Newcastle - I'm delighted Lexington Bay got in the John Smith's Northumberland Plate, he's exactly where I want to be with him. He got struck into at Kempton and he missed a bit of work so I'd say he'd be better for his run the other day. The ladies' race at York did its job, it's probably got him 100 per cent spot on for this and he'll like the soft ground. I'm expecting a big run from him and he's my each-way charity bet with Sky Bet this week.
High Office has been in good order this year but he's got to get home on the ground, if he doesn't he'll be walking home. It'll be survival of the fittest. Halla San is our third runner in the race and was retired after racing at Beverley on Tuesday! We discussed retiring him anyway and I can't believe he's got in the race, but seeing as it's the Plate we'll let him take his chance. Win, lose or draw it's likely to be his last race.
3:35 Newmarket - Majestic Myles has been running solidly this year and heads down to Newmarket for the John Sunley Memorial Criterion Stakes. He's rated quite high and these are the races he has to run in. He's done nothing wrong this year, run two cracking races and he's in tip-top shape. It's just whether he's good enough
3:45 Chester - Kimbali won three last year and he's higher than you'd like but he ran well round Chester at the May Meeting. If he came back to that form in the Kathleen Corbett Memorial Handicap he'd have a chance but he's got to come back to that run. Seven furlongs round there should suit him real well and I'm hoping he runs a big race for Marwan, but he hasn't got much in hand of the handicapper I'm afraid.
3:55 Newcastle - Brae Hill is probably handicapped to his best and I'd have the same worry about Alejandro in the Betfred Bonus King Bingo Handicap at Newcastle. A lot of my horses don't have much in hand but they're both in good order and we'll see what happens.
4:15 Chester - Jedward drops back in trip for the AGA iTotal Control Handicap at Chester and that will suit. I'd love her to win. She ran well last time and she's well drawn. It looks an ordinary race and, if there are no improvers in there, and she'd have a chance.
4:25 Newcastle - Slips Stream Angel is owned by Alan Shearer and a few of his mates and makes her debut in the Betfred/Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Maiden Stakes at Newcastle. She's a very laid back filly and I'd be surprised if she could win first time out. I'm a bit worried about the ground but she's a sweet filly and we'll see what happens. They were keen to have a runner on Plate day so that's why she runs.
4:55 Newcastle - Waltz Darling might run in the Betfred Hat Trick Heaven On The Euros Handicap on Saturday but it all depends if he wins on Thursday and comes out of the race okay.
5:30 Newcastle -  Hi There ran well the other day but I am worried about the ground for him in the Betfred 'The Bonus King' Handicap at Newcastle. I'm not sure whether he'll go on very heavy but he won well the other day so he'd have a chance.
6:40 Doncaster - It's about time Johannes won now, he's been a little bit frustrating and he's getting older but he's very capable of winning off this rating in the PTL Occupational Hygiene Asbestos Surveys Handicap at Doncaster. If everything dropped right for him he'd have a chance. He could win one and then go on and win two or three but he needs to get that winning feeling back.
7:45 Doncaster - Badea seems very green and raw and doesn't stick his head down and race properly yet. He ran okay the other day though and he'd definitely stay in the Derbyshire Aggregates Handicap. I was looking forward to him this year but he's not really shown it yet, although his work is getting a little bit better. He has to be at his very best to win, but he is a horse I thought would win races this year and it could still happen
8:45 Doncaster - Darling Lexi is a filly who works well. I think she's well handicapped going into the Altrad Beaver 84 Hire & Sales Fillies' Handicap but just might need the run. If she doesn't she'll run a big race.
