1st Day At Cheltenham

What a great days racing. Not a great day for tipsters, but never the less still a great first day.

Just a quick note, as no one was interested in joining in our tipping competition, i will not do a table.

Also it's very sad that there were 2 fatalities in the Cross Country today - Grande Champetre, who although at 13 was close to finishing his career, was a grand warrior. He ran 12 times at Cheltenham and won 6 times, not a small feat by any means. And also Scotsirish, who was very much in his prime and a very classy racehorse. Also not forgetting 2 other fatalities i believe at Sedgefield today.

  1st Corach Rambler 11/2 - 85 2nd Delta Work 18/1 - 60 3rd Galia Des Liteaux 25/1 - 50 3rd Aint That A Shame 50/1 - 50 3rd Chambard 66/1 - 50 3rd Noble Yeats 16/1 - 50 (FYI 4th Vanillier & Mac Tottie 45, 5th Nassalam, Limerick Lace, Run Wild Fred 40. 6th Latenightpass, Minella Indo & Eklat De Rire 35) I kind of feel disappointed that only one horse i like got into the top here. It does contain 2 previous winners of the race and after doing the system, i will conceed that Corach Rambler has a massive chance to follow up here, however we all saw the effort he put in at Cheltenham, it blew me away and it was well reported exactly how tired he was after the race. That worries me as it wasnt that long ago, althougth everything points to another very good run.
