2:25 Newcastle - Page Of Wands 12/1 This horse has stood out to me here for several reasons. First is because in her last race, she beat home horses rated 15lb higher than her. The race was also 2 classes higher than this one. Not only that, it was a very competitive race - she came 4th. The 9th horse home went on to place in a class 2 and 4 race, the 3rd horse has since gone on to win a class 5 race and the 2nd horse has also gone on to win and place, and one race was a £10k race. She is stepping up in distance today but her sire has a 17% trike rate at 1m 4f and a 31% strike rate at 1m 4 1/2f which is today. Her full brother is a winner on Tapeta and she has come 3rd at Newcastle. Her trainer is in form, especially when she teams up with todays jockey Graham Lee. Karen McLintock has had 8 runners in the last 30 days, only 2 have won but 4 have placed. First time visor could help her.
