I kind of feel disappointed that only one horse i like got into the top here. It does contain 2 previous winners of the race and after doing the system, i will conceed that Corach Rambler has a massive chance to follow up here, however we all saw the effort he put in at Cheltenham, it blew me away and it was well reported exactly how tired he was after the race. That worries me as it wasnt that long ago, althougth everything points to another very good run. He has been given a big chance at the weights here, as a lot of you know i am very into the weights carried in this race and at the bottom i will name 4 horses who i would not touch and one of them i actually really liked until i saw his weight.

Corach Rambler obviously likes the course and stays all day, he would probably prefer no more rain and it to dry a little, but this boy does not give up he runs his heart out and he is a great jumper. If Cheltenham hasnt left his mark he has a massive chance.

Delta Work is a horse i love and i thought he could win 2022, he was my big bet,  he was carrying 11st 9lb he still managed 3rd. He won the Cross Country over 3m 6f on heavy and motored up that hill with Tiger Roll, it was a great race, then went on to be 3rd in the National, a great effort, i thought he was well weighted last year and was very happy but unseated his rider in a very rare mistake. He missed the Cross Country (cancelled) this year and comes here very fresh after a run over hurdles in February. He stays, he will love the ground and he has a chance. I backed him at 33/1. As long as he stays upright he will be right there at the end.

Galia Des Liteaux will love the going and she stays 3m 5f  on soft, after coming 2nd at Warwick. So there is hope she will stay the National distance on testing ground. She has a beautiful weight. She is on a career high mark and will have to improve again, she does go well left handed and a slight concern is she is 0/3 on a flat track, she hasnt gone this far before so the flat track will probably help. She jumps really wel,l so as long as she gets around, i see no reason why she wouldnt be up there.

Aint That A Shame has been purchased so David Maxwell has a ride in the race. Nice when you have that kind of money isnt it? He is a fair rider although Cat Tiger dumped him in the Foxhunters on Thursday at the 7th fence. Aint That A Shame has a lot of ticks, likes the ground, jumps well and came 17th here last year. Just my opinion, but i thought he didnt stay last year, he weakend fast, and this is more testing. Its highly likely he will get round, so will give you a good run for your money.

Chambard is getting on these days but he stays well and loves the ground, his form recently has question marks although he was hampared at Cheltenham,  on a going day he will keep going. He is 12 now though and his age is against him, He won the Bechers (over the National Fences) in December though and thats a huge positive, as he did seem to relish the fences. If he is in the same mood as when coming here in December he can run big race. And i actually feel its a bit insulting him being 66/1 and Coko Beach is 33/1 as he beat Coko Beach by 13L in the Becher, and although up 6lb, he once again has conditions so i dont get it. I would grab 66/1 ew

Noble Yeats as we know won the race back in 2022, and was 4th in this off 1lb higher. However he carries the biggest weight of 11st 12, when he won he carried 10st 10lb and last year 4th on good to soft he carried 11st 11lb. On heavy this year with that weight i would probably say it will take a miracle for him to win. He wont mind the softer conditions but this will be attritional, and at his price its a great ew. He is highly likey to get around bar an incidents in running with other horses, but this is going to be hard. If he wins then this horse will go down in the history books!

The big weights are Nassalam (i liked him a lot but the weight is a big no no, maybe a place?) Coko Beach, Noble Yeats and Capodanno

I will stick with my systems 1st and 2nd but Chambard at 66/1 i find incredible so a small ew on him

My Selections: Corach Ramber 11/2, Delta Work 18/1 and Chambard 66/1
