08/09/18 3:15 Kempton - System

1st Honey Man 11/4 - 120
2nd Kings Slipper 11/2 - 85
3rd Apex King 20/1 - 55

Honey Man is up 6lb for his last win over C&D just getting up to beat Hakeem by 3/4L and there is a 3lb swing in Hakeems favour. 3rd placed in that race, Medieval has a swing in the weights from both of these. So you need to be careful. But Honey Man is 2/2 on this type of surface, and i backed him on his last run, so i remember it, and he got blocked in on the rails when everyone else was hard at work, once he got out he flew, and i think he idled once he hot the front as Hakeem came close, but Honey Man ws in control, so if im right then there is not reason why Honey Man cannot frank his win again.

Kings Slipper won over C&D by a neck last time, but in comparasion to Honey Mans race, KS needs to find 10lb. Saying all that, his time was 2 seconds quicker than Honey Man. So he could well have claims.

Apex King was once very highly thought of winning a Listed race at Royal Ascot as a 2yo then 4th in the Group 3 Solario Stakes, it then went all down hill after that, for reasons unknown and hasnt won since. Now joined Richard Hughes and has shown some improved form but not the will to win. They go for headgear again. It didn't work at Ed Dunlops but now his form has improved it may work.

Hakeem scored 40, and it really is a close race for the places

My Selection: Honey Man 11/4
