As you can see by the score, KK has a lot going for him today. He is also a Ratings System horse, so i really do hope he goes well. Here is why he scored so well
His last win came here at Perth over a year ago in a much better race than this an 2 classes higher. He is 17lb lower in the handicap now after some not very good runs on unsuitable going. He has been run 4 times since on soft ground, and he has never won on soft ground, but fared better on good to goo to firm groun. His stats on Good ground whilst Chasing are 1, 2, 1, 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 5, 3, 3. If you take out all distances that are not 3m - 3m1/2f then the stats are 1, 1, 2, 5, 3. and then also look at Perth on good ground an at 3m/3m1/2f on good ground, you have 1, 2.
He goes well At Perth, he goes well with this jockey 18 runs 6 wins and 10 placed.
Also his stats whilst in a Class 4 race are 1, 1, 1, 2, 1, 2, 2, PU, 3. The PU was on soft ground, so probably ignore that one.
I would be shocked if he loses this today.
Isla Pearl Fisher has not won at this course in 3 attempts and not one with todays jockey either, but will love the going.
Richard Johnson's horse is interesting, as has gone close to winning an is on the same handicap mark, but i think my one will take this and Dr Maloney will be runner up
